Make low level provisioning recipes useful.

Let's face it, most of them are rarely useful for actual use.

So... why not make them worth more to sell to NPCs ? Not quite what they might sell for at Guild Stores, but closer. Not that many of them would actually sell at Guild Stores.

That way there is still a reason to collect mats and make low level food items.

I suppose this could also extend to other crafts as well.

You could even make it more interesting.

Have some NPCs in some locations paying more for certain food items than others.

So different regions and locations have a particular demand. Maybe you sell your food items at Inns and such.

In this way you can make things and choose to travel to those locations, or sell them at Guild Stores for others to buy and sell in those locations for a small profit.

Also maybe add some new master writs to the old ones, which would now randomly require 2 or even 3 different recipes instead of one (1 green, 1 blue, + one purple, or 3 blue, or 2 blue + 1 green, or 2 purple + 1 green and so on ), and of any given level mixture to complete, which would yield more vouchers than the older writs depending on difficulty. There would always be at least one max level recipe in it, but the other 1 or 2 would be a random low or mid level, and these writs would yield maybe triple rewards. It's just a beginning idea. It might still need some fine tuning.

I think the problem is bigger than that; the low level provisioning recipes (...and glyphs, and alchemy ingredients) would've been more useful if progression through those levels wasn't so blazing fast. I'm not sure if it's by design or not, but the level 1 -> CP160 phase doesn't take that much time, blink and the runes and solvents you gathered yesterday are already obsolete. I'd say solution would be to give players more gradual progression to give everyone time to feel the wow of getting shiny new gear... but I don't think many would get behind it - nobody would like to spend long time grinding freshly created characters beside the first one.
