I started playing eso when it first came out on ps4 (grinded my veteran levels) and took a long break. I came back when they introduced Warden and bought morrowind and started the character that I still regret. I always thought warden would "catch up" I mean - surely they can't let warden be a "jack of all trades class" forever?

I was so wrong, my warden now sits as my crafter and I don't feel this class has been done justice at all, it brought me nothing but disappointment. Now I hear rumours about a new class "necromancer". If this is true, how can a new class be on the agenda when the former new class warden is far from done? This doesen't make sense at all.

I've cancelled my subscription and lost fate in this game. And maybe if warden gets justice and not be the teenager of classes not really knowing what to do or what it's good at, I will not re-sub.

I feel ripped off, I payed for warden when people now got it free, I would like a classchange token, change my dusty warden with all skyshards, books, progress transferred, but no, it's impossible.

Uh, no, stamden is in a very good position.

Solo, PUG, trial, vet, and PVP.

I suggest you take a look at gear, and rotation, if you are having such an issue with a stamden.

The Bond with Nature passive, in Animal Companions, returns health with each and every cast of your pigeon.

You have a stamina morph of Fungal Growth, a heal.

You have Vigor, like every stamina class.

That's a whole lot of survivability right there.

Yeah I'm surprised you feel this way now as StamDen is doing good. Also last year Wardens rocked in Battlegrounds. I've not played then as much recently but they were strong and good support.

I hear your sentiment rho, how on earth adding a new class when none of the others, not just warden, are balanced can be a good thing.

And i back up that lack of balance with the fact that zos themselves created the class rep program to try to sort it.

But people like shiny, people wanted necro. And the bulk won't care if it's top 2% DPS etc they want to quest with one etc and just have one so it will sell.

If warden is so good, explain leaderboards? And don't give me that crap that "people have to get used to the class" after two years, when an OP set in PvP gets abused after 2 days by everyone and their grandma, grandma and late late granddad..

If warden was somewhat competitive it would clutter the leaderboards.

We aren't trying to trick. If I recall @Masel had a really good build for one? It might be just lack of knowledge and the right gear, but warden players are doing well.

Warden tank is popular and only way to give minor toughness
Most people say warden/Templar comb for heal comb

Magicka wardens do well in backgrounds

Leaderboards are not an indication that a class is terrible, or not viable to run such content.

While a Warden's Magicka DPS may be lacking, they are still very good Tanks, Healers and Stam DPS in PvE. And in PvP, Stamden is one of the best specs while Magdens are in a good spot right now.

Nobody got WARDEN free.

Morrowind became part of the base game, warden didn't. You still have to buy it.

There are so many classes in eso. Basically any mag or stam plays the same as they use mostly the same weapons..why not try one of them instead of throwing a fit and quitting a game because you think a class isnt performing well? I have a warden and I play it because I like how it plays..thats what it should be about and not topping ranks..a game is played to relax

OP, a week or so ago I saw how 7 people couldn't put down a single Stamwarden in the Imperial City. And those 7 weren't noobs.
That stamina Warden had insane sustain, health regeneration and was able to kill people at the same time.

You should dig for decent builds. That class is very strong right now.

Have you even played Stamden? It is so tanky, it's resistances are so high, it has minor toughness, it boosts its own health when you activate vigor.

It is legitimately one of the most fun Stam builds I have ever played. I'm addition to that I can pull 50k DPS on the dummy consistnetly with no debuffs or sustain help.

So it's your ass I'll be hauling through dungeons! 😂🤘

I have a Warden Tank, Healer and Stamden and I love all 3 of them, when they rework ice and ice staves I will make another Magden. I find them the most fun class to play, very versatile and my Stamden does great damage. I also find the rotation very simple. I'm sorry to hear your not enjoying the class but they are in a much better place now than they have been since I have been playing the game. Have you tried other roles with your Warden? They really are a fun class.

I do not believe in balance as I do not think it is truly achievable in a MMO tbh so there is always going to be some class that does not preform as well as some others but stam-Warden is not one of them. Yes Magwarden could use some love I agree to that.

I hope you find what you are looking for and can enjoy the game again someday.

This is so often the problem when players come back after a long break, they have fixed ideas based on what they've read or heard and then start playing again with a jaundiced view and without giving it enough time in the game to make a proper assessment of how things really are. The players who are advising here that the OP isn't judging it fairly are very likely experienced current players who are well ahead of any returning player in understanding how things are.

Stamina Warden is very strong right now but if your talking about Mag Den DPS they need some buff for sure but they still make some of the best tanks and healers in the game.

Magden needs help in PvE but are absolute cancer to fight in PvP, especially BGs where you're damn near always snared, rooted, etc by their ice crap.

I fail to see much problems with Warden outside of the 1 Subspec in PvE.

What the hell ? Warden have one of the best survivabilites in the game it's also perfect class for PUG runs better then nightblade I would say. In PvP both stamina and magicka wardens are doing really well.
