It's cheaper than going to the bar one night, and a lot cheaper than meth. If you're sweating $40 bucks for a hobby, you might want to look into something else.

The standard edition is 40 euro and the CE is 50 euro.

Be sure you check the upgrade and not the entire (base) game with the expansions. These are 60 and 80 euro's for standard and CE.

You only get the morrownd and summerset if you buy the entire game+elsewyr. The upgrade does not give the previous expansions.

    Ripped of? Not really imho.

Yea why not buy a stolen game code from a scam site? We'll see what happens won't we? I mean, what could go wrong?

I am amazed that ZOS in there ultimate wisdom is actually thinking that players will purchase content they already own again just to get the Elsyeyr expansion. I don't know about other players but I am not going to pay for the base game and the two expansions I already own to get Elsyeyr. ZOS should of come out with a single copy of Elsyeyr for those who own the other content offered but that is not ZOS' way of doing things. Hope everyone enjoys Elsyeyr when it comes out. I will wait until if is offered for free.

Kinda not understand why Elsweyr Digital Collectors Edition upgrade is 50 € when the summerset one was 40€. And Hell. The summerset was worth it. But this? Idk yet...

There is definitely more value to an expansion that benefits all your existing characters IMO. So yeah, I m questioning if this expansion is worth 55$ CAD ( non-collectors) when I paid 40$ CAD for Summerset(which is currently priced at 30$ CAD).

Do I feel ripped off? No, but I do feel the offer could be more enticing, especially if you are, and have been, ESO+ for awhile.

    Stupid question:
I dont care for the preorder items. But i do like the pet and mount from collectors edition.

Will the collectors items still be available after release?

I dont really remember the last two times, was there/will there likely be a discount on the ce shortly after launch?

So, Let me get this straight.
    We've bought ESO..
    We bought Morrowind.
    We bought Summerset.

Now you want us to REBUY them?

I say REBUY, Because we don't recieve a discount for already owning the previous installments.
Do we PRE-OWNERS get any OTHER bonuses for this purchase?
or are we all getting shafted for $80(at least)?

You could buy the eslweyr upgrade wich doesn't contain anything else

We are. Considering all of their sources of income (subscription, ultra-expensive housings, gambling boxes, crown store, chapters) and considering their pvp parts of the game barely work or have many glitches in prime time (seeing that endless "forming group" in BGs all the time now)... yes, it's very overpriced.

And no, I won't buy this chapter until it gets the real price - e.g. sale.

The upgrade cost, £25 at least in UK. That's half the money over the usual game titles which lasting around 10 hours tops.
This expansion as with every ESO big expansion, is more than 10 hours long don't you agree, and imho worth. As is ESO+.

Do I feel ripped off? Well yes, because they're selling just one tiny zone for the same price I paid them for the full game with a dozen of such zones. But I feel only very slightly ripped off, because it's still quite a good deal for what we're getting. It's just not as good as some other deals I've had before. ;)

How do you know it's a tiny zone ?

    @Deathpunkin

You don’t have to buy the chapter. Morrowind became a DLC when summerset launched and we can expect the same to repeat for summerset and this new chapter.

So you can spin it however you want but you don’t have to buy it.

Edit. Also, thought it was for a lesser price if we just needed the upgrade.

Yep. It is less if you already own the game. So we do get a discount. You really need to pay closer attention.

Waited until i could get morrowind for 10 bucks and i was still let down. Just like warden, necro will most likely be a very boring class, this time they won't even get a cheap expansion buy from me.

    $39.99/365 = $0.11 a day.
    $139.99/365 = $0.38 a day.

So you're looking at $0.49 a day for entertainment...

Imagine how bad it would be for new players if they had to spent 200$ just to get the game in the "current" state. Especially with all the benefits added over time that may have convinced players to come and play the game in the first place.
Considering that this is only a preorder bonus and won't apply to expansions bought after their release, it's also good for players who bought Summerset after its release and don't have Morrowind/ESO+.

The only thing I am wondering about is whether jewelry crafting will move to the base game, like battlegrounds did and Summerset will become included in ESO+ like Morrowind. My guess is that it won't as the battlegrounds stuff was a matter of game health and the Warden could be easily separated from Vvardenfell unlike the Psijic Order skill line from Summerset.

    I keep hearing this.

    1. Not everyone play this game *every day*.
    2. Not everyone has ESO as the only way and the only source of entertainment.
    3. Not everyone enjoys and plays ESO thoroughly and extensively.

The price for a chapter or subscription can be spent elsewhere - e.g. other game, book, other hobby or source of fun.

For example, I finally stopped subscribing to ESO, after 3 years. That's 156 euros saved per year for me. And for what? For a crafting bag, some QoLs, few cosmetic crowns and CWC dlc that I didn't buy. I don't care for dungeons, I have all other dlcs. That's 3 new AAA titles for my Nintendo Switch per year. Three separate games that I know will perform flawlessly, without any bugs and will bring me tons of fun and joy. Is the subscription worth now? Only if you play ESO extensively and as the only game.

Matt Firor himself said that many ESO players were seasonal - they go to Chapters, do the quests, then quit playing until next upgrade comes. For them, it's 20-40 hours of extra fun for a game they already know. As far as I'm concerned, not worth it at that price. I think ESO saw my wallet more than enough.

I don't think that Jewelrycrafting is a compelling purchase, given the insanity that it is. They should move it to the base game just so that everyone can suffer equally.
