ZOS...paying streamers who dont even like ESO, telling loyal player base to pay $200+ racial changes

So ZOS can pay streamers who dont even like ESO to post or play the game but when it comes to the loyal, long term core player base... we get this:
We've had some great cash grabs and here are some honorable mentions:
The 5000 crown mounts
The 'limited" items that came back
Crown crates
The special mounts that you cant buy with gems
The 15k crown "limited" homestead
The ridicously overpriced furniture items on the edit tab
but ladies and gentlemen, we have a new winner:
The "We change the whole racial bonus system after 5 years knowing you have multiple characters, offer you one free race token and you pay for the rest!"
A few of the numbers for the community. (Using combinations of the cheapest crown packs - https://store.playstation.com/en-us/search/elder scrolls online):
Race and name changes = Cost
1 = 32$
2 = 55$
3 = 88$
4 = 105$
5 = 135$
6 = 160$
7 = 185$
8 = 208$
9 = 225$
10 = 255$
(This is the 3500 name and race change pack. Doing them seperately is 5500 crowns.)
To your wallets, 'bon appetit'.

HelixUnited✭✭✭do forget to add the cost of any race any alliance to that since some don't have it and will need it, also the imperial addition both obviously still optional but if they you want to change from orc to nord or orc to imperial due to the changes you will forced into buying them1 -

✭Don't forget about "any race any alliance" that a lot of us will need too.
With race change you can only choose among 2 other races from your alliance.

shaielzafine✭✭✭✭✭I remember paying for race change token so I can have the stats I wanted from dunmer. I refuse to pay extra money to switch races back just because they decided they want to sell more race tokens. It looks like at least half of my 12 toons will need race change tokens as well, so lol I guess I might as well go buy final fantasy or be resigned to playing the characters that didn't get yoinked. Let's see if they actually roll out these racial changes as they are listed, and if they actually do any of the "performance updates" that they said will be 6-8 months. I wouldn't be surprised if they went back and changed their mind on any of these changes and updates, for example they said dragons won't ever be in this game and that's coming up next chapter update.2 -

Not entirely true. If someone does not have the any alliance thing, then you are limited to the races to the faction that character is already in. Meaning if you have an Argonian, you are limited to dark elf or Nord.PC/NAMoved onto BDO and GW2 Skyrim, ATS/ETS2, ACNH and the overall goodness of single player games

Arrodisia✭✭✭✭✭I completely disagree with ZOS's stance on this subject. It seems much like a bait and switch tactic. It's one thing to open a crown store and sell outfits and horses it's a whole other thing to charge for things that they caused to change.
When class ability changes came they weren't all game breaking. Yet because the skill changes only cost gold it was given almost for free, and sometimes they were just flat out reset. So now because tokens are RL money and not gold they want to cash in. I think not and definitely not to this extreme. Even at a reduced price these would be ridculously expensive for people with a full load of chars, and this isn't a burden the players should be carrying at all.
Unfortunately, I must agree with the majority on this one.
They can't say "ok. You're paying for the dlc's and expansions, and now pay for something we (ZOS)changed in them."
The point remains that they changed the races and people should be able to change to whatever they want regardless of reason for free.

The change is too costly to push on the player base and will cost more than the expansion itself for those who already have many chars which a lot of players do.
They even comment that people may have made these races to be competitive with those passives available to them and now they should feel they can play what they want, but it's going to cost them. Why? They should've always been able to play what they want "without being at a disadvantage". I do get they want the changes, and so do we. That normally wouldn't be a problem, but the entire change stems from their balancing problems from the beginning. So no. It shouldn't rest on the players to pay extra for those changes. This is just imho.

✭Problem is that dunmer was a mag character yesterday now it's Stam. Also mDK was balanced around the dunmer passive and now they get a hard indirect nerf. It's ridiculous-Immortal Redeemer-
