You don't play as a DPS at all, do you?
I really do hope that ZOS will treat all roles equally. On forums we get this weird DPS ! DPS ! DPS ! Look at my DPS ! kinda thing as if it was only role in the entire game and all racial passives, classes, gear absolutely must be balanced specifically for min - maxer DPS.

It is getting too obnoxious and I am kinda sick of it at this point.

He's saying race doesn't matter when playing a healer, the least race-intensive class in the game.

I.e., he thinks race doesn't matter because it doesn't matter specifically to him, therefore it shouldn't matter to anyone when that is objectively false

Nope not what I am saying. I never said "race don't matter when playing a healer" learn how to read. I said race don't matter period. multiple times. Especially if you are not going for leaderboard scores. which is 99% of the player base.

Most mmos give races passives that end up being minimal when you get to end game which mostly allows players just to play the race they like which doesn't make players less unique but more unique by adding diversity.

Anyone changing race; remember, unless its been changed, if you don't have the "play any race/any faction" version, whether you got it as a pre-order bonus, or you bought it with crowns from the crown store, you might not be able to change the race of your character if that race doesn't belong to the faction the character currently does.

If, for example, the character you want to change is a dunmer or nord currently in Ebonheart and you want to change to khajiit ; they belong in the Aldmeri Dominion. If the races are still faction locked without the explorer's pack/adventurer's pack, you might not be able to change.

i wanna change from orc to argonian, so you mean that if i don't have the any race any alliance thing, i can't do it? i can only change to breton/redguard?

From what I recall, yes, you are restricted to races in your faction. When the race change tokens first came out there were several upset posters because they couldn't change to the race they wanted, because the race they wanted was in a different faction. If you're planning on changing, it would be good to verify whether the restrictions are in place. Support ticket, I guess.

I would hope that they give all races balanced max stats so any race can be viable for any role.

actually any race is viable for any role as it is. This community is just so obsessed with bs meta's that it believes the nonsense that racial passives matter so much more than they really do.

They don't matter much at all as it is!
@CipherNine I care to disagree. When I run VMA on my MageElf and MageKhajiit, I can tell a difference. My Khajiit is slower to kill add groups which in turn, puts more pressure on me and I end up getting behind on timing of when things spawn so I will get overwhelmed. Getting behind on one spawn time can cause me to be twice as behind on the next spawn time and then just keep rolling downhill. Even if the High Elf kills an add one second faster, it can make a difference and that, in turn, can give me a second to regen. Of course I can still complete VMA on both races but I can tell a difference. I don't expect Khajiits to be on par with High Elves but the difference was still highly noticeable for me in VMA (where I have to rely on myself).

Not to mention when I was doing the VMOL progression, my MageKhajiit did decent but when I switched to High Elf, I was doing almost 2K more damage with my High Elf per Swallow Soul. 2K per second in a rotation over 5-10 minute battle is a lot of missed damage for the team if I was a Khajiit and some things, like the first boss in VMOL, you NEED to kill the boss asap or everyone wipes. That boss is easy now but back when it first dropped, it was hard. And that's why some trial groups want you to be a preferred race over another. It helps the team as a whole.
