(Comment was on why housing slot increase were not coming in summerset)This was asked, and, no, Housing Slots are not due an increase.
The reason was given as a Technical one, related to the consoles (and I am guessing lower end PC's). The exact reason was not revealed. I know the devs want to give more slots, they just can't.
Why do pc housing slots have to be held back by consoles? It is like buying a car only to not be allowed to drive it because people only have bikes.

consoles shouldn't be held back either. there is a sizable and very talented housing community on consoles.some of the most amazing looking player built sculptures I've seen, were done on PS4

Carbonised wrote: »One hour ESO 2019 roadmap presented, and one and a half post-show with Rich & co. And time and time again Rich and Matt mention the ESO community and how important we are and that we are responsible for the game's success. Well yes. And despite of all this, the housing community gets 15 seconds of the ENTIRE 2.5 hour presentation, which only encompassed advertising yet another huge Crown Store home that costs more than the entire game altogether (an arena, not even a house).
This is so symptomatic of housing in ESO, it's arguably the least prioritised area in the game, and just goes to show how far back in the minds and priorities of the devs that housing is, no surprise to those in the playerbase interested in housing.
Combat is always focused on, trials and dungeons are focused on, PvP is focused on, I lost count on how many times in the ESO presentation they mentioned "dragons" and "necromancer", and yet again, we got 15 seconds for housing. This at the same time as they charge $100 or more for their extremely overpriced Crown Store exclusive houses - plus crown store limited furniture.
The ESO housing community has asked for updates and adressing of our concerns and issues MANY, MANY times, and we have gotten ZERO response from the dev team.
Such as:
- Why is there NO adressing of the CRIPPLING item limit cap of furniture?
- Why are up to 100 item slots stolen away and ONLY usable for undaunted trophies?
- Why is there practically NO new houses added for gold? Whwy are there practically NO small/medium type houses added, and only overpriced Crown Store manors that no one can decorate properly within the item limit?
- Why is there VERY little work done with the luxury furnishing vendor, with only a tiny amount of new items added to him every weekend? Why NO released plans to build upon this vendor, add more vendors or items?
- Why is there VERY little work done on the mastercrafter system, and the recipes? We wait half a year or MORE to have a measly handful of recipes added to him?
- Why have the community gathered lists of hundreds and hundreds of items ALREADY in game as objects, that could EASILY be turned into furniture items, and yet there has been ZERO response to these requests?
- Why can simple PC addons enable us to to a MILLION cool and awesome things in our houses, such as setup triggering sequences, help in furniture placement and much more, and the only thing ZOS manages is to add the functionality for us to prevent guests from turning off all our lights - and that only after a YEAR or more of asking for this feature?
@ZOS_RichLambert @ZOS_MattFiror @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_SarahHecker @ZOS_JessicaFolsom - it's fine to be proud of the ESO community, but you constantly overlook the housing community, while still charging us a massive amount of real life money for participating on ESO housing. How about finally adressing some of the above issues, and show us that you actually prioritize ESO housing and care to develop it beyond the extremely basic features we currently have?

Consoles are not as capable as pc as you cannot just upgrade them to perform better as you would a pc. When i was a console player i understood this and accepted that my platform wont perform as good as pc.

Be aware that not all the devs have forum accounts or post from my understanding. The ones we do hear from tend to be the leads in the main game areas. It could be that the ones working on housing are reading but not posting.FYI from Twitter earlier today.Jess wrote:We’re always exploring ways to improve our in-game systems, and player housing is no exception. 😊 It sounds like you have spent a good bit of time collating housing system feedback and suggestions. WOW!!!! This bugs me... massively! There is an overwhelming abundance of information on the housing forum. Detailed and informative posts from people with great suggestions on improving the system but none of it gets listened to. The housing forum NEVER has gotten a post or acknowledgement from a dev. After 2 years, I still don't even know who is the dev in charge of housing?? And they definitely don't appear to be listening in the slightest to what the community are asking for (in the context of housing) so I am just baffled to hear Jess go on another outlet and suggest a player take their feedback and suggestions to the official forums.

nonetheless, splitting up community like that is not a good idea. performance and housing should be improved across the board.

The community is already split, we dont even play in the same servers and will never interact with the other platforms

they pay the same subscription money we do, more actualy since you need premium service on console to play ESO. the buy the same crowns to pay for houses. housing needs to be improved and everything Carbonized said is 100% valid. however, this has to be done for the ENTIRE GAME. PC AND consoles.

PC still has better functionality, if for no other reasons then for addons. It's just objective facts, and how it is. Plus updates come quicker to PC than console. The player experience is different on PC and console, objective fact.
I agree that they should push for general changes to housing and item slots, but if it is not possible to do on console for various reasons, and it is possible for PC, the it is just incredibly daft not to make the changes on PC sine some console people would "feel bad".
That said, this isn't a console vs PC post, it's a post between the community and the devs, so no more derailing please, both to you and Aliyavana.

I don't think zos is out of touch with the housing community, rather housing is still relatively new and an ongoing project. I think the housing community is out of touch with zos and the rest of the game. Housing, while it would be nice to have more items and a bigger item limit, is not a selling point or a focus, and housing is something that is added to patch by patch, as noted with new houses.
If they dedicated half an hour to presenting already in game items as housing objects in the stream even people who are the moderately interested in housing and have numerous homes like me would yawn and leave.

I just have imagined... What if all the PvP team were doing is realeasing new battleground maps, fastening on it a price label with a number equal to 2x chapters price and adding new customizable colours for team labels and flags on the map... No balancing tweaks, no perfomance tweaks, no new game modes and features...
PS: no offence to PvP audience, it's only for the sake of an example.
