Necromancer teased 5 years ago, link proof inside

So Necro has been pretty much planned for 5 years. I'd be curious to know how long development has been on it but as you can see in ESO's release trailer for Imperial Edition. The same Breton from Elsweyr Cinematic is already a Necromancer bringing a skeleton army onto the Imperial City, except it was 5 years ago.

Skip to the last scene if you wanna just get right to it:

With the undaunted skill line, the bone shield skill could have also been a hint at necromancy too before hand.

I always thought the same about trapping webs and the warden. I think both classes had been planned years before

Necrotic Orb is another skill that could be tied to the Necromancer class now.

Necromancers have been in the game since the beggining. It was clever from ZOS to "resurrect" the Breton hero (on that cinematic we last see him kindda dying and cured from the deadric curse) to represent the player's necromancer partake on the upcomming chapter.

I believe that part is related to the worm cult. But, yes the character looks similar.

I think altmer is more likely to be necromancer, not breton.
She resurrects him. And, as we see in Skyrim/Oblivion/Morrowind, "resurrecting" vampire, who is also undead, is not healing - it's more likely dark magic. Necromancy.

And breton uses bow, sword, jumps a lot... but no magic. Only thing that speaks about necromancy, are those indead soldiers, but he didn't rise them in trailers, only lead.

We already know he's a necromancer since ZOS said he was! Here's proof of concept that it was planned 5 years ago.

Here he is on an undead horse, commanding his legions of skeleton's onto the Imperial City. For those who didnt watch the video. No the warden girl in the cinematic isnt the necromancer lol.

Warden? What? Redguard in Morrowind trailer was warden.

And, again. We don't see him doing any necromantic things, and he isn't using any magic.

I'm literally baffled. He's commanding a legion of skeletons in the video. Check. Zos has said hes a necromancer. Check. Did you miss the part of the live stream where they said he was a necromancer lol?

That breton is more of a stamina nightblade than a necromancer. After, he is the one, who gets raised back than being the one raising the undead.

Maybe he mastered the art of the class change since ZOS said he was a necromancer now.

ZOS said that Class Change is too complicated and that they have no plans to add it...

So yeah, he's still a Nightblade

ZOS said class change too complicated. ZOS said he's a necromancer. Take your pick. I'll take their fictional interpretation of a CGI character and so he's a necromancer.

He didn't actually die, we see him stab the original leader who caught the blade and an energy crept up the blade and then we see him hop on horse as it bails out of crumbling city. He was wounded but not dead. Then in next scene he is obviously different looking and commanding an army of undead. While we didn't explicitly see him raise them, we don't know that we didn't since the shot doesn't show the army immediately. They may have been hidden behind hills, etc... in initial shot OR he may have raised them just then though admittedly un-theatrically.

Warden was present during Alpha. So yes, it was literally planned since the beginning and was taken out for launch.

Yup. There's been lots of discussion about post-Murkmire life since Murkmire was the last of the content left over from the original developers that we knew about. Maybe Necromancer is emptying the coffer now. 5 years is a good run though. Maybe the collapse of other popular MMO's and the hype surrounding Elsweyr can bring in the revenue to kick start a new level of content development for the game. Though, probably wishful thinking since Zenimax has a new MMO in the works.

    Just to clarify here....
That trailer was developed and created by a CG style advertising studio and is not a representation of ESO gameplay or aspects of the game. (i.e. the spells the Elf uses are not in game, just look cool),
and, that trailer was released early 2013 before ESO was even out of first closed beta.
So no, trailers are just that, advertising, and not to represent actual game mechanics or play.

He was stabbed in back and few moments later was on knees without any resistance. Doesn't look like just wounded.

He may be necromancer now, but if judge on what we see in old trailers, she resurrects him, and he doesn't use magic at all. Not before becoming undead, not after. Only thing is that army, and he doesn't rise it in trailer.
