Why are skeevers not a pet?

There are a couple of Daedric Skeevers and a Clockwork Skeever at least, just off the top of my head.

LOL, that was an awesome quest. It was also an follow up on the first Morrowind fighter guild quest there you fought rats.

My oldest character Sverre Skeeverbeard has been waiting since beta for a skeever pet!

Fun fact -- He's modeled after my grandfather who had the scratchiest whiskers ever, and my brother and I always ran away when it looked like he was going to hug us! He'd be 117 if he was still around, but this character keeps his memory alive for me just a little bit.

They have Daedric skeevers for sale. My self-insert character makes due with the Clockwork Skeevaton until the mighty Pack Rat (pictured above) comes out. A regular skeever has matted fur, the smaller “critter” version, the Skavenger, looks better. You can find them in Craglorn with 1 hp.
