No class change token

No class change token, and they don't intend on it either.

Pretty disappointed with this, I've already got 9 toon, and dont have any intention of making another in the foreseeable future.

I have a magden that used to be good but is now nerfed into nothing more than a writ jockey.

Necro seems pretty interesting from what I've heard but I don't intend on making a new toon for it so I won't be pre-ordering, I'll get the chapter later when it is on special for the zone content.

i don't believe that BS that is hard to make class change when they have racial change

and it makes no sence...

so you can charge your race.. your RACE ! but you can't change your " profession" wtf?
it should have been the other way around !

Man, they really don't want that class change token. They rarely slam the door like that. The only other time they did that was with the Auction House.

Sigh.. I really see no reason to preorder Elsweyr. It took me less than a week to complete Summerset main/side quests and every achievement except the trial ones or the ''repeat the same quest for 30 days'' ones.

There is no new pvp mode like BGs for Morrowind, no new crafting skill like Jewelry Crafting for Summeset. Only a new class that I would love to play IF more Achievements were account bound or if we had class change, a new zone that I'm sure it's gonna be cool for a week at least and apparently a new trial that I will probably do 1 or 2 times if ever.

If you have no plans for class change token ZOS, atleast consider making more achievements account wide.

And do all the delves, the whole main story and the mindless 1-50 progression once again? It'd be one thing if Cyrodiil/BG progression transferred but it doesn't so it's even worse on PVPers.

Class change would be nice but I wasn't expecting it. If Necromancer is as fun to play as it appears then I'm going to have a new main, and though it would be nice to not have to start over and to have all of my current mains achieves, well, it isn't a deal breaker to me. I mean do any games with dedicated classes offer a class change? I don't know of any.

Glad I canned my sub a while back then. Without a class change token my interest in the game is waning. Will probably make a necro alt to try it out and then delete it like I deleted all my other alts because:

1) too many skill points needed to collect to really make a character worthwhile to play.
2) too many skill trees to grind to make a character really worthwhile to play (fighters, undaunted, mages, psijic, thieves, dack brotherhood, and maybe vamp or werewolf).
3) too many alliance levels to gain
4) too much time to grind out good gear
5) too much gold and materials to spend to upgrade said gear
6) No shared titles and achievements so why bother playing the necromancer for more than a few hours before going back to a main.

If class change tokens existed I would have purchased at least three or four by now just for my main. I'm guessing they will eventually renege on this or alternately bring out skill line tokens some time in the future because they will be able to sell more of them.

They could give me 50 slots. Doesn't mean I'd want to manage writs on 50 toons, nor level, achieve hunt, grind, research, on 50. 9, maybe 10 in the future with the next class after Necro, but right now I have too many useless toons as it is to justify making another.

2 Support (1 tank 1 heal) and 1 DPS for each class is fine by me. Right now I have a stam warden (decent) and a mag warden (pretty useless, but has many shards, fully researched, and high level in all guilds). I'd prefer delete my mag warden than take up a new slot.

Doubt it, simply creating an account doesn't make it an active player, not to mention they only count new accounts, but not people leaving

Craglorn also frequently feels pretty dead, somedays it is the normal challenge to get a trial going, some days it is near impossible, so all these supposedly new players obviously never made it to end game.

This was a HUGE letdown for me. I have a main character which collects achievements, busts, and trophies for a reason. I see absolutely no reason why she couldn’t change classes. Consider it a career change. Returning to college. Whatever. I would pay significant $ for the opportunity.

I’ll probably make a Necromancer with the free slot to check it out, then delete it. I have zero interest in running an alt through all the old then new content rather than my main.

Oh well.

I have no sub to end.
I'm not quitting the game.
I rarely pre-order games, if ever. I pretty clearly said I will getting it, eventually, but I am not all that excited by it, because without class change, I won't be able to utilise the class content how I'd like to, so I won't be getting all giddy and pre-ordering it.

I'd say the expectation of others to pre-order something they aren't all too interested in is entitlement.

And will do nothing to persuade Zos. As long as they ignore the obvious suggestion I made and continue to create threads of entitlement they will never get class change tokens. It is a business matter, not an emotional one.

I'm so glad they're not adding this. I was already a bit disappointed with Race change but I guess that is still sort of acceptable...

I really do love to switch up characters daily.

But Rich Lambert said no to class change tokens. It was just not one of their interests.

Bottom line, I mean I just plain my main templar for achievements and then have my other characters for PVP and raids. Otherwise, I'm good.

Class changing tokens are just not that important to me when I can already do it anyway by just utilizing one of the many character slots I already have.

I understand people want it. Rich was not forthcoming as to why though. I'm sure it has to do with $$$ and time. lol

Perhaps if they think if they get people logging in to feed horses, their 'stats' for shareholders will be improved.

Or people buying Horse Feed upgrades on the crown store for their new toons.

Oh, and new character slots, but they kind of rectify that with a new slot in each class chapter. Which is good of them.

They are the only 2 things I can think of where ZOS benefits from people making new toons.

ZOS should factor in that people would happily pay 3000 crowns to swap class. ZOS can also get real feedback from their adjustments. People complaining about a nerf on the forum is one thing, people abandoning a class is another. They should also factor in that their many long term players that have already created plenty of characters would get much more excitement out of the prospect of new classes if they could bring life (necro pun) back to some of their less utilised characters.

This theme of a new character every 2nd chapter ... I noticed some requests for class change with warden, I've noticed a lot of class change requests with necro, 2 chapters from now, with the next class, the demand will be massive.

Well, let me share my sad story.
Back before the warden was a thing and it looked like we would never get new classes, I made a templar healer and pretended to be a necromancer (I was wearing the wormcult set after all so I looked the part).
The Dragonbones DLC was truly a blessing. Dragons AND Necromancers? It was a tease, sure, but "the best we'd ever get". The mementos, pets and skin were wonderful and greatly added to my enjoyment of that character.
Now with the announcement that Necromancers are actually coming and class change tokens won't be a thing, I am looking with sorrow on my templar - all the achievements she earned, all time I spent leveling/grinding/getting shards - thinking about whether I should delete and replace her or not.
My healer build only uses 3 templar skills anyway and Necromancers have a skill line designed for healing... The threat is real!

Pretty much my mind set with my warden, although he was not built from the start to be a necro, just a DPS that can swap out to be a Healer if needed.

He is there to fill a role, and the class is under performing. I don't want two toons to fill the same role, especially with the same class.

My mind set is either:
1) Delete MagWarden, make a MagNecro
2) Do nothing, wait until Chapter becomes DLC or on special and just do content.

I can't bring myself to waste all that work put into my magwarden, so I'm favoring 2 over 1 by far.

Out of all the *** they try to milk this game with in the crown store, a class change token would be the most obvious. But no. They wont for some unexplainable reason.
