How will dragons fit into the lore?

We understand that there is no record of dragons appearing after their age of tyranny other than in the 4th Era during Skyrim, but how will they justify these dragons if a dragonbreak didn't happen? I get that a lot of the things said by ingame books and NPCs can be wrong due to them being treated as real beings with limited and misinformed knowledge like us in real life. That's one way to say everyone who said dragons had not appeared just weren't told. I guess another way is how these dragons will not last long enough for them to have an impact on the entire people of Tamriel, so nobody really talks about it or even heard of this event happening in Elsweyr.

Well firstly, ESO takes place way before Skyrim. They confirmed during the stream that dragons have never been gone, just in hibernation or in hiding.

Secondly, they confirmed that they worked with Bethesda (owner/creator of the IP) and pretty much confirmed that them doing this with dragons fits into the lore. We don't know how exactly yet because we haven't played through the story yet.

As far as the dragon break stuff. It was officially cofnirmed years ago that ESO is in the canon timeline for TES. It is not an alternate timeline. But ESO does take place in the past. In the Second Era IIRC-

Yes, I know all these but your second point is basically what I'm asking.
I guess we will have to wait to play it, but there could've been some mention of how they fit into the lore.

They said on the stream that the second era lore is lacking in lore and the lore they do have is vague, so they get to play around and create lore.

In current lore dragons were around in the 2nd era just not many.

Apparently, more than the Dragonguard were figuring. I have to wonder whether these dragons have been hidden since before the Dragon War, and are not part of the record. The big dragon from the trailer is undocumented.

correct and as was stated in the stream, they've either been in hibernation or in hiding, so we really have no idea how many there may actually be.

and the 3 we saw (could be more according to RIch) had to be released. So they were locked up somewhere.

There were dragons up to Tiber Septim's reign which is centuries after the events of ESO.

This book I've been sharing often.

There are many documented Dragon encounters in the late First Era and Second Era. Tiber Septim also had a Dragon lieutenant in the late Second Era.
Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

There have actually been dragon sightings after the initial Dragon War, there are recorded documents of specific named dragons throughout the years, as well as the dragons that Tiber Septim enlisted when he was conquering Tamriel (which happens relatively shortly after the Three Banners War.

As stated above, not all dragons "died" during the Dragon War, many fled and went into hiding. From what we currently know from the info we got today, there is a tablet which is split in 2, the first Dungeon DLC this year has us helping Tharn collect these tablet pieces, once we do that we find out that the tablet acts as a sort of key which opens the location that these dragons are trapped/resting in.

In the trailer that was shown, we see the 2 halves of the tablet combine, thus unlocking the location that the dragons were trapped in, in doing so they were freed from wherever they were and are now roaming Elsweyr.

How won't they. It's all about dragons- Dragons are what makes this world great.

No, I truly mean that statement.
