Launcher keeps crashing

Attempted to log in to ESO 30 times today, gets to 11% and the launcher crashes. I have completed the changes via msconfig as referenced in one fix to no avail. I have never had an issue before, this is a royal pia. Have a second account on another machine and that is worse. I have rebooted my modem and router. I DO NOT have stream so that is not the culprit.
So what is the next voodoo move?

Khaleesi8688✭✭✭✭Install a VPN and turn it on to update eso. Had to do that a couple months ago to get the update to go past 11%.0

I've been playing since 2017 and had no issues until Murkmire came out. I tried every repair i could find, even uninstalled the game and all files off my pc. Nothing worked. My tech guy at work told me about Windscribe VPN and I've been using it since. Probably should have worded that better. I meant the client side of the game.
