Time to get into cyrodil

I spent 2 hrs in the queue to get into Cyrodil, got in and the game kicked me within 20 minutes. Log back in, and sat in the queue for Cyrodil for another 3 hrs and then it was maintenance. The most bemusing part was that the second attempt to get in, the queue went down from 80 to 3 in a reasonable time frame, but then I sat at number 3 in the queue for about 2 hours before maintenance kicked us all out. I used the time for farming stuff and BGs, so it wasnt a complete waste, but 5 hours in a queue for 20 minutes in Cyrodil seems broken.

That's the MYM event for you. They open new campaigns but it's never enough. It's a pita, some nights I don't even bother queuing for Cyro as I cba.

It is a bug you get stuck on a certain number in the que. I got stuck on 13 for 1 hour and when is used the option leave que is stated I was not in the que. If you get stuck again leave the que and start over again.....

When you get into Cyrodiil and get crashed etc. Don't log in back immediately. Wait around 1-2 minutes so the games kicks you on it's own, because if you get the message "your account is already logged in", you will be locked from Cyrodiil. But if you wait instead and try to login back after like 1-2 minutes and won't receive above message you will be back in Cyrodiil on the spot where you got crashed. Works for me 100% of a time.

I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

That's interesting, because for me, it's been completely the opposite.

My theory is that cyrodiil has a built-in functionality that protects your spot in it for a certain amount of time, specifically so that a player whose client crashes can get back in without having to wait in queue again. But the time your spot is protected is limited.

So as soon as i figure out my connection crashed (can not interact with doors, all players stopped moving, i can move but not sprint), i alt tab out of the game, kill it using the task manager(its faster than quitting normally), and immediately log back in. If i get "account already logged in"(sometimes it happens) i just immediately log in again(never happened twice).

With this, i have the best success getting right back into cyrodiil, instead of being put into the last PvE zone i was in.

Sounds like you were trying to queue into Vivec. There’s great solution to that, don’t. Just guest in another campaign for the event.

Hmmm... The part about killing process may be important here as I usually just wait till my client gets into loading screen. Nevertheless it's confusing, there should be guaranteed protection for around 5 minutes for everyone who left Cyrodiil in other way than by shrine.

Past couple of nights I've gotten kicked, and after the horrible performance when running into large zergs, it made me want to just log out. Sometimes the game performs fine minus the consistent lag we get in Asia and Oceanic areas. At other times the rubberbanding, low fps, render tears and overall lag makes it tough to play competitively at all.

Been playing this event non-stop, only broke now after maintenance, flawless performance so far, I play on Vivec, Sotha and Shor. And I'm used with the problems you told us about outside of the event. The worse thing about this event is the que if you arrive late for the party.

Its not the games' fault that you sit in 200+ queues for hours if there are plenty of other campaigns without poplock / queue...

Yep, figured that it was worth a try. It turns out that you can queue for Cyrodil and queue for random BG's at the same time. The Cyrodil queue keeps counting down while you are in the BG's. Wouldn't try it if the queues were shorter, cause wouldn't want to port to Cyrodil in the middle of a BG.

I had wondered if the queue was bugged when it stayed on 3 for quite so long, but I wasnt sure if that was just cause with a couple of hours till maintenance, no one was logging out.

Fun facts: you can also queue for two different cyrodiils at the same time as well. You can also queue for cyrodiil, quit the game, walk your dog, log back in two hours later, and unless your queue popped in meantime, you are still in it.

Actually the new campaigns are enough just everyone chooses to play the most popular and ZoS have the population cap set way too high for what it can handle

We need to spread our selves out more but getting balance is hard , harder when we're the ones trying to do it through self regulation

I’m not even gonna try to step into Vivec for this event. I’m having a good time in shor, farming well with limited play time.

I'm on GMT and my normal play time is 21:00 till 02:00 ish, usually there's a waiting time of 100+.
All I do is join the queue and then crack on with some daily's / crafting while I wait, no biggy really as I would have been doing that if the event wasn't on anyway.

I would like to say that as a PVE soloer doing PvP for the tickets I have loved every minute, I was hard-core PVP in previous games and burned out but the fun factor in this game with the siege stuff is awesome, no idea why I didn't do it years ago.
Also (and its only an ESO PvP newbies perspective from a few days) but other than a couple of muppets slagging off PVEers I have found the rest of you PvP folks extremely helpful and lots of fun.

I may actually stay there after the event.

PS for you PVE guys this event is amazing for getting those Sky shards you never thought you would get, just prepared to get ganked a few times trying !

    Be safe
