The crafting bag and double bank space alone makes it worth it, IMO.

If you want to spend most of your time playing the game instead of selling and deconstructing gear. If you want to be able to do side quests or writs or get necessary recipes found in DLC zones. If you are a player who loves mounts, costumes, and pets.

One warning, once you play with ESO+, you will never go back. Unless you quit the game altogether

It's the main game only game I play currently, so it's absolutely worth it to me. As others have mentioned, the craft bag alone is worth the sub cost. You certainly can play without ESO Plus, but it just makes everything more pleasant for me in game without the inventory hassle. YMMV.

IMO, sub for a little while. Play the DLC, get resources for the craft bag and support the game a little more. I’ve been subbed for almost 2 years now and I’ve realised I need to cancel as its lost value. I don’t need mats anymore, I’ve played story DLC’s and they are amazing, the dungeon DLC don’t mean anything to me and also we have to pay full price for an expansion. Wait until tomorrows livestream and see if they’re going to release content that you would actually enjoy before you sub.

My advice would definitely sub, save the monthly crowns for future DLC
Extra bank space is super handy though

    Other - It Depends

You should subscribe to ESO+ if enough of the below applies to you.
    • You enjoy the game and believe in monetarily supporting the things you find value in
    • You play the game regularly enough that a reoccurring subscription is a sensible monetary investment
    • You use the game's crafting system regularly and do not want to deal with managing that inventory
    • You feel you would make use of the additional bank space added by the subscription
    • You like using the game's costume system and really want freedom to change the dyes on your costumes
    • You make occasional crown store purchases that would be mostly (or partly) paid for by the subscription crowns
    • Most important of all, you are not suffering from consumer debt and have the disposable income to subscribe.

The number one reason to sub is because you believe in supporting the game with regular monthly payments, not for the benefits it brings. You shouldn't subscribe if none of the above applies to you, and you shouldn't subscribe PERIOD if the last one doesn't apply to you (even if some of the others do). There is no game that is worth furthering your financial ruin over.

For me: Absolutely 100% yes. However, I'm part of the group that 'grew up' in the realm of subscription-based MMOs, from my first MMO (EverQuest) onwards. If you played a western AAA MMO, you subscribed, period. Things have changed over the years indeed, and while many of those things are Very Good Things, I still prefer paying a subscription, getting regular game updates free of charge, and only (perhaps) paying for major expansions. The way things are now, sometimes I'm only subscribing to remove the atrocious F2P penalties, but it still feels the 'right' thing to do for a game I'm playing seriously and regularly. I don't mind not subscribing for MMOs when that isn't the case, but for ESO, it's currently my only MMO so it gets all my time and as I absolutely detest lockboxes, this is the only way it gets my money.

We all have different base reasons for why we sub or not. The above is my deepest reason. I also really like the bonuses that come with ESO Plus, though! The craft bag (of course), access to DLC content, and more storage are the biggest bonuses on the list for me. The bonus gold and xp was useful when I was starting out, and I use costumes frequently so costume dyeing is appreciated. The bonus crowns/crown store deals are the least important to me because I'm really not interested in the crown store for the most part.

You really need an option for "it depends" up there. The easy answer is yes, of course. There is value in the sub, the benefits are great as a quality of life improvement.

But are the benefits what you want?

-all DLC access (no Summerset): are you playing dlc content right now? Are you done with base game/main quest and want to branch out, or just branch out in general? Do you do random dungeons but want/do not want the dlc dungeons?

-craft bag: do you craft? Do you hoard mats? Have you maxed your bank and bag in-game upgrades? Do you use bank mules?
    (connected to)
-2x bank/bag space: do you hoard everything? Because if you're not using it (or planning to) you should research/decon/sell/vendor/destroy (in that order).

-2x housing slots: do you like decorating houses?

-costume dye: do you like dyeing all your costumes constantly?

-1650 "free" crowns: do you want anything in crown store? Take note that with crown store gifting you can get anything except houses in the crown store for game gold. I bought all the story dlc with gold and haven't even started them.

If you are planning to buy crowns anyway then yes sub for the equivalent number of months because you get a lot for the sub (unless the crowns were on sale as the sub never goes on sale).

-how often play? I play about 15 hours a week max, and none of that is in dlc areas or farming tons of mats for the craft bag or decorating a notable home etc. I do not need any of the benefits from ESO+. Some say the inventory mini game eats up their time so the sub is worth it even if you're not playing. Me I don't like the pressure of "having" to play because I "paid extra" for it. I know this is an entirely subjective point of view but it's how my brain works :)

-can you afford the monthly fees? Check your budget before you decide. It might be as simple as skipping one Starbucks coffee a week. It might mean more to you than that, only you can decide.

When I looked at the above list myself, my answer was no. Only the craft bag gave me pause, but I hit max horse/bag/bank slots with my max crafter and I don't actually need it. There was a free ESO+ trial and I dyed all my costumes per character and put all mats I no longer use in the craft bag. But even if there wasn't that free eso+ trial, my plan to declutter was to sell off stacks of lower tier mats (orichalcum, copper, etc) and that would have given the same result.

I will say that the base game without any dlc or chapters already has a ton of stuff to do. It will be a very long time before I even get to the Morrowind and Summerset content, but where's the rush? It's a game, take the time to enjoy it!

    Your mileage may vary.

I love the craft bag, double storage and housing slots, and there's quite a lot of things in the crown store I like and buy. This is the only MMO I play right now, and since I play a LOT, and I've always "paid my way" with subs, I'm perfectly happy to sub to ESO+. Sub comes up again in May, and I'll buy a year this time.

As for DLCs - I bought CWC because I wanted the Kagouti Fabricant mount for one girl, and Morrowind (even though they're included with ESO+) because if I get to a point where ESO+ needs to go for some reason, I NEED to keep doing my crafting in Vivec - with 18 girls, it's the shortest circle for getting it done, with the bank right in the middle, and the stable master not far away.

Yeah. I wasn't going to sub on the second account. Two days later, couldn't stand it, so now subbed on that account too. *shrug*

    Guild wars 2

What is this suppose to mean? I tried Guild Wars 2, and one of the reasons I left it was because of needing to pay to get more storage. At least ESO does a good way of getting it. I don't know how to get more storage in GW2 without using real money. Thing is, no controller support, I gave up on it to even find out if there was a way or not.

For me ESO+ is worth it. I can't see how people say it's a cash grab. I quit playing ESO when it was launched because a) no controller support, b) hate paying a subscription fee so I never bothered. Then ESO came out to Xbox One and started again. I moved back to PC now there is controller support.

Funny I hate paying a subscription fee, but I don't see ESO+ as that. After all it's just like paying for crowns, so might as well get something out of it. The craft bag is huge for me. I don't get ESO+ just for that though. Also having all the DLC (except stories grrrr) for free, double bank space and a few other perks, make it worth while.

I actually find it surprising that Zennimax got me to pay something monthly where before I would have NEVER have done so. So good job to Zennimax making something that is not a cash grab. After all if it was a cash grab, why include all the other incentives as well?
Not my quote but I love this saying

"I would pay It for support. But since they choosed we are just numbers and not customers, i dont mind if game and zos goes to oblivion"

I would say this is a must for new players and crafters. The benefits are worth it completely at first. Even though there are issues with the game it is still very unique compared to everything else out there. So I a support it with eso+ because it is my fav go to game.

Yep. Less than that on my main account, as I bought the 6 month sub. About that on my second account since I wasn't going to buy ESO+ at all for it, then on day two I caved - but I haven't done more than the 1 month recurring as yet. If I do decide to go longer, it will be for a year (as well as renewing the main account for a year when sub comes up in May). I'll probably do a 6 month sub on the second account in a couple of months so the payments rotate.

I had seven accounts in WoW, all on 6 month subs. Managing that was a nightmare. Two accounts here will be smooth sailing.
