I was seriously active in previous 'lives', for different jobs and contracts, and now a lot of stuff is too busted up to do much running and jumping anymore.
A lot of people I know who used to do things like storm beaches and jump out of aeroplanes play games like this because their knees and backs are trashed from years of physical abuse.
We can live vicariously through action games to a small extent, and not have to worry about making an appointment with a physical therapist several times a week after dispensing justice for several hours/day....

Lol. Somewhat. I work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for sixty days. Then I'm off for sixty days. The job I do only has me doing a total of thirty minutes of work a day. So I fill the rest of the time playing ESO so I'm not bored out of my mind.
