Is eso plus worth it?

I find the crafting bag, and extra bank space very convenient. But you can also call it a curse, because you are not able to play without them once you get used to them.
I like the free DLC parts as well, of course you can buy them separately, but atm I find no need for it.

It used to be worth for me, but now that I bought all DLCs for ingame gold via crown gifting, its not worth for me as the next expansion wont be covered by ESO plus anyways.
But if you are planning on doing all the content there is and you havent bought them yet its definitly worth, also im still urged to sub to ESO+ for crafting bag + double bank size, but im getting along without it, especially since there are storage boxes for houses.
The few roleplay items you get for free and coloring costumes arent a real selling point for me tbh.
But for example if you are planning to buy 1500 crowns or something with real money, you might as well just sub for 1 month its the same price and you get 150 crowns more plus all the benefits for subbing, just dont forget to cancel it right away :) .

TL;DR If you are new, definitly worth. If you played multiple thousands of hours, the value of ESO+ starts falling off to the point of not being worth.

      It is worth it.

Not necessary though, and some like the fact that they avoid dlc in the dungeon que as a fringe benefit for not subbing.

      I go without eso+ when I know I can't play as much.

Well I have 10 days left to decide as my wow sub runs out then. Leaning towards getting a sub so i can gather without needing to delete stuff constantly. Is there a chance long load screens etc will dissapear slightly when the event ends?

If you don't sub all the time, and want crowns for something when they aren't on sale... Subbing for what you need is just better than full priced crowns.

I play regularly on 5 accounts. I have eso plus only on one. If the account does not have a crafter, plus is not really necessary.

I have a personal guild bank and that helps. All my accounts are officers in my guild and have full access to the guild bank. I can craft for my alt accounts and use the guild bank to distribute.

It just depends on how much you play and how much you perceive you will play in the near future. If this is what you put all your leisure time into than it's a good deal, if you spread your leisure time wide, maybe not so much.

Your poll really just asks forum users the question, "how much do you play ESO, a lot or not so much?"

I currently don't have ESO plus, because I don't play as much as I used to, but if you are playing 15+ hours a month, you'll probably save over an hour a month via the craft bag and doubled bank. Personally, I value my time at more than 12 dollars an hour, so if I were playing as much as I used to I absolutely would stay subscribed.

As with all such questions, it depends upon your personal finances.

It also depends upon how you play the game. If you are a hoarder, like me, it is unpleasant to play without the inventory buffs.

It also depends on how often you play. I personally usually sub when new narrative content comes out and then take breaks for a few months. ZOS got smart and added all these (kinda dumb) events that I can't stop myself from compulsively taking part in, compelling me to get a 6 month sub a few months ago.

It also depends how long you have been playing. If you are new, and if you plan to quickly play through DLC, you get a ton of value from access to them. As someone who has been playing since beta, I don't really get any value from the DLC access from the sub. If you don't plan to play the game long term, playing through DLC with a sub is also the way to go.

If you like housing, based on what others say, you really need the double items from sub. I don't do housing.

If you buy cosmetics with crowns, the crowns included in the sub are good value assuming you are also getting value from the crafting bag and/or DLC access (or other benefits that you value). Since I will never spend a cent on cosmetics, the crowns from the sub have little value to me. They just sit there until a new assistant comes out or a new character slot is opened. I did buy one crown only motif when it was 75% off, but when I realized it didn't increases chances of getting master writs, it ended up feeling like a pointless waste.

If you are exceptional at managing inventory and don't want DLC dungeons included in the group finder (and don't care about housing limits), the sub should be avoided.

      Yes it is.

      Double bank space
      Craft Bag

If your a maxed out character with all professions completed the xp and inspiration gains may be very little use to you.

You get crowns 1750 to do what you please, now you can save these up and buy DLC as you have to buy crowns to get DLC anyway.

      Access to all DLC.

      Guild wars 2

      @Bhaal5

It seems GW2 may not be an acceptable answer. I cannot find a subscription model for GW2. I expect you can find that official information and share it with us. If not then what I said is correct.

However, I did find they have different levels of accounts and the free one is very restrictive with everything from inventory (only 3 bag slots per character), no guild bank or enhancement access and much more. Heck, Free accounts are even heavily limited on who they can whisper.

Again, if there is not a subscription model then it is not comparable as I already stated. If there is then there seems to be some heavy restrictions. Much heavier than ESO has. Link to the source of my information below.

      https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/230165307-Guild-Wars-2-Account-Types-Free-Core-HoT-PoF

But a once $60 payment (same price as a chapter in my country) from eso you dont have to be a freeium player?? And they can deliver more content that zenimax can in one year without ripping people off? The freeium link you posted is for if you wanna trial the game for free, which you get the WHOLE base game for free? Dont see eso doing that yet still punishes players for not subbing.

Soooo you only want to compare bad sub models with other bad sub models to make this bad one look better to justify your spending?

Well im saying you can get more product for under a 3rd of the price you pay for eso over a coarse of a year with gw2 and they dont even need a sub model. (Not to mention that price goes down each year you play as you only need to pay for the expansions which are the same price as the "chapters" in eso.

I am having trouble deciding wether to sub or not. I would love the craft bag and dlcs and free crowns. But on the other hand there are some really annoying issues that make me think "good thing this is free to play" like the endless load screens and queue bugs. From what I have heard those have been here for a while?

I look at it this way: depending on how much time you invest in this hobby, the monthly fee is a pretty inexpensive price to pay for what you get.

I've subbed since launch. No ragrets.

Sure. For 50¢ per day it's decent. It's like 0.25% of how much I make per day. But I feel like the content we get isn't as much as other games.

That craft bag, storage increase and the monthly crown allotment (even though i wish it were 2k instead of 1.7k..) along with the 10% increase for finding gold and experience are totally worth the cost of admission.

Wouldn't play the game without it. Even though I buy all DLC's which isn't needed if you sub, yet I purchase them with monthly crowns I get. I always felt going B2P was wrong for them to do and then to try to fix that mistake they added the bottomless craft bag.

      No. Not worth it.

With the introduction of gifting the DLCs are all available for in game gold. Along with all the other stuff. Crowns are pointless IMO.

The craft bag is super nice! But not necessary. I wish I had it but I will not pay for just that. I get the free trials and stuff all my stuff in there for a week.

It all depends on how you play.
Before morrowind sustain changes I played a ton even a lot after that. But after Nerfmire pve is dead to me due to the magic nb changes so I only pvp and if you only pvp subbing isn't needed.

I have bought all the DLC minus the dungeons ones. that "benefit" of the plus is irrelevant to me.

I'm not crafter either and i do not have a house, so the craft bag has very little value for me.

The crowns i get i gift them to my nephew, there is nothing i want for the store.

So I decided to play without ESO+ in January and for my surprise i do not miss ESO+.

In another point of view, my nephew also plays, he has only the base game + Summerset and he is crafter.

I have not stopped paying him ESO+ because he takes advantage of everything that offers.

I would only renew my subscription if they offered free wayshrine teleport, or something that i think is worth it with my play style.
