Need Indrik advice

Guys, I have 3 feathers now. By the end of PVP event I'll have 10 tickets. What shall I do?

1. Buy the 4th feather and create a basic form of Indril. But I'll miss a berry, and this is critical, right?
2. Buy a berry, and wait till next events to obtain a 4th feather.

I'm sorry to make another Indrik post, but since we don't have a clear official guide on Indrik, I really need an advice... About tickets from this event: I hardly will obtain more than 10 as I can't play every day.

You should have 24 tickets by the event end if you do a PvP daily every day. You get two per day. So buy your last feather and a berry. Or maybe only 22 tickets, not sure about reset and the end time on the last day. Either way you'll have enough for both the feather and the berry.

Ah ok yes I see the edit. All right, buy the berry. The feathers will go on sale in the crown store I believe they said in the first quarter of this year and you can snag the last one that way. Unless on a future event you can play more and get enough tickets for two items. To evolve the mount though you need all four different berries for each transformation so get the berry.

It really depends on what you want. Do you want all of the evolved Indriks, or only certain ones? More importantly, do you want the Dawnwood one, which is the one we'll be getting for Q1?

If you don't want the Dawnwood Indrik, I would suggest using the events of Q1 (Midyear, Morrowind, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, and Jester's Festival) to farm up extra Feathers so you have them ready to go for a new Indrik immediately after evolving your first one. Do keep in mind you can only have one of each Feather in your Bank or in any particular character's inventory at a time, since they're Unique items (this just means to have 2 or more of the same Feather, you'd have to have one in the bank and one in a character's inventory, and so on). If you do want the Dawnwood, then get your last Feather to get the base Indrik, then spend the other events getting your Berries.

As I mentioned in another thread, we'll get a minimum of 62 tickets during Q1, if every other event only gives us one ticket a day and only runs for one week (but Jester's Festival runs for two weeks, as do all the Tamrielic festival events we have). So you can easily get the 4th Feather during Midyear and then still get enough tickets to get one of each Dawnwood Berry before this quarter ends.

And really, the advice about farming for Feathers if you don't want any particular Indrik evo can be applied to any quarter. If you don't want the Q2 Indrik, you can use those events to farm additional tickets to get Feathers for any of the other ones you do want, including the base one. That's what I'm doing, since I only want three of them (Luminous, Ebony, and Pure-Snow). All the tickets I get during Q1 are going to be spent getting the extra Feathers for 2 more Nascent Indriks, and then starting next quarter I'm going to work on Berries.

Do you want all the indriks? If not do you want the Dawnwood (green and blue) one currently in the stable next to the NPC who sells the feathers?

If your answer to either question is yes then you should buy a berry as these will only be available during the first quarter of this year, whereas the feathers will be available throughout 2019 (and potentially longer, but we can't be sure yet).

If your answer to both questions is no then get the feather so you've got your basic indrik and think about which evolved form/s you want (the others are gold, black and white, you can see pictures of them in the announcements, or just do an image search for ESO Indrik Mount and they'll come up.

Buy feather, berries of this event not worth it to me. Evolution of this berries looks so normal.

Buy the berry. We know that feathers will be there next time.

We don't know this for berries, afaik.

we do know that the berries will be there next time, if by next time, you mean the next event.

we do know that the berries will not be there next time, if by next time, you mean the next quarter

zos has established that they will introduce a new berry during each event of this quarter for the dawnwood evolution, and that previous berries introduced this quarter will continue to be available, but only until the end of this quarter's events. that's the same pattern they used in introducing the feathers, last quarter of 2018.

then when the next group of events begins during the next quarter, they will start introducing the berries for the next evolution, and the berries from this quarter will no longer be available

see this page for the most complete description from zos yet, on their handling of berry availability:

    https://elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/55477

just above the picture of the dawnwood indrik, they state the following:

"Like the Indrik Feathers during the 2018 Q4 events, upon the start of each new event during Q1, the Impresario will stock new Indrik Berries and any previous Q1 Indrik Berries for the Dawnwood Indrik."

then below the picture of the dawnwood indrik, they state the following:

"Please note that the Indrik Berries you can collect each quarter will ONLY be available during that quarter. Previous Indrik Berries will not return once the next quarter has begun, meaning this is your only chance to acquire this specific evolution."

They also stated their intent to make the feathers available through the crown store, starting late in quarter 1. Therefore, if you are interested in evolving the indrik into a dawnwood, and especially if you intend on getting multiple evolved indriks, you should indeed prioritize on the berries first, and then feathers.

Can you only choose one indrik form? Like if I use the berries from these events and later on use the new ones I lose my first transformation? Because it says evolving removes the base form and that you need the base form to evolve it

You can have all five. Base form is Nascent, created from feathers.

So, items and collectibles circulate like this:
Four feathers -> Nascent -> + four berries -> Dawnwood, Nascent removed -> + four feathers -> now you have Dawnwood AND Nascent -> + four other berries -> you have Dawnwood and second evolution, no Nascent -> + four feathers -> two evolved and Nascent and so on

I hope I'm not too terrible at explaining -_-

No, you cannot swap. Once you have evolved a Nascent Indrik to any of the evolved forms, you can get a new nascent one and evolve the new one as well, if you want.

At the end of Q4 you can basically have 5 different Indrik mounts (all at the same time, because they are different collectibles) - Nascent, Dawnwood, Ebony, Luminous and Pure-Snow.

You have three months (each quarter) to get four berries.

You have an entire year to get 20 feathers.

The berries are only limited by the quarter in which they appear. The feathers are presumably limited through this year.

It hasn't been mentioned whether or not the availability of these will repeat next year or the years beyond. I suspect they'll get replaced with something else ~ some other grind, with any missing items likely being eventually added to the Crown $tore.

Yes, that is if you go for the Dawnwood indrik.
Remember that you will need 80 tickets for the next version 4 feathers for an new Nascent one and then 4 berries to evolve.
So unless you do the event pretty much each day during Q2 you will not get Ebony.

If they follow the current pace, there will be opportunity for gaining on the necessary earn rate each quarter.

You can get up to 22 tickets this event, for instance. With multiple tickets from some event dailies, I think they'll make it possible, but I also suspect they'll keep it close.

After all, the ultimate goal is to get people to have to buy tickets.

I think the ultimate goal is to get people to participate in as many events as possible, and to buy extra tickets when they can't keep up. Before this I think a lot of people completely ignored events, especially if it's a kind of content they don't normally play. Whereas if you want the indriks, especially if you want more than one, you can't just wait for events you'd do anyway, you have to do as many as you can. I suspect they're hoping some people will find they enjoy content they'd previously not tried.

I don't know about anyone else but in my case it's not working. Once the events are done I go right back to what I actually enjoy playing.

I read the article first, then read this thread from top to bottom, BEFORE I posted. The wording of the article struck me as ambiguous, which was why I asked my question-- which was not the same question as the OP asked.

If I understand the article correctly, it sounds like there are going to be 16 types of berries in all-- 4 in Q1, 4 in Q2, 4 in Q3, and 4 in Q4, with each quarter's berries being different from those of the other quarters.

I had 12 tickets saved up before this event began, and I missed the first day of the event, so I bought the 1st berries on the second day of the event and have now accumulated 10 more tickets-- and after I spend these 10 tickets, I should be able to accumulate 10 more by the end of this event.

So it's safe/best for me to buy 2 feathers during this event to start working toward my second Nascent Indrik, since I already have the 1st berries, and buying any more of the 1st type would just be a waste of tickets, right?

Forgive me if you think I'm being dense, but I'm trying to make certain I've understood the article correctly, as summarized in my second paragraph above.

In order to have all of the variations in your collections, then yes, but...ZOS is planning on making the feathers available through the crown store later on this quarter. So if you're going to go that route, it's probably best to prioritize on the berries first, and then get feathers later in the quarter, time and tickets permitting. Also when a quarter ends, that quarter's berries go away and don't come back the next quarter, but the feathers can be still obtained through both tickets and crowns.
