Which Motifs are available as entire books?

I'm just curious which style motifs are available as entire books.

As it currently stands, on my motif collector, I don't read any of the chapters of a motif until I have every chapter, in the off chance that I get the entire book as a single item.

I'd prefer to read the chapters I get right away of those motifs for which there is not a full book to be found.

I think all of them? Either way, the chance of picking up the whole book is very small (I've played since beta and the only whole motif book I've looted is Imperial, which doesn't drop pages). if you happen to be so lucky, you can sell the book for loads of gold and buy the remaining pages, and still end up with a profit.

Ah, interesting. I purchased ESO back when it launched but only recently started playing with a PC that can do it justice.

Anyhow, good to know that it's extremely rare to get entire books.

I did already have one of the main race books drop. I think it was High Elf.

If you haven't gotten but one full book to drop, it seems possible that many of the motifs don't come in full books. I guess in the mean time, since it's nearly impossible to get full books (based on your experience) I may as well just apply the chapters I have even before I get all of them.

Whole books are very very rare.

Imperial only drops as a whole book.
I've gotten 2 on my main account that I've played since beta so it's also rare.

The others are more rare than imperial

The odds of a whole book are insanely small. The only one i ever got was the Worm Cult. Ive seen Xivkin for sale in zone chat. Lol

I got the whole Skinchanger book in one of the New Life boxes during my last run of the New Life quests on the morning of the final day of the event. Of course, AFTER I had already received all of the individual pages multiple times.

I mean, I ain't even mad; I'll just sell it in the guild store maybe around summer-time.

Every one of em. You have better odds of being attacked by a bengal tiger and a polar bear on the same day though.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

    Yeah, pretty much.

Books 1-14 only exist as complete books. That's the ten basic racial styles (including Imperial), Daedric, Ancient Elf, Barbarian, and Primal.

After that, there are only three motifs that do not appear as pages ever, (the crown store exclusives), Stahlrim Frostcaster, Grim Harliquen, and Tscassi.

There's one additional motif that cannot drop pages (normally), now, and only appears as a complete book, however pages used to exist, and still circulate on the market (along with the means to create more): Glass.

Every other motif in the game can drop as either as pages or as the entire book. There are some exceptions, like Ebony, which never drops, but is purchased for vouchers. As a result, getting individual pages is a personal choice. However, all other motifs drop as pages, or can rarely drop as books.

In 4 years, on PC EU, I have had:

3 x Imperial - all on chars that have completed Cadwell's Silver & Gold and are all "Heroes" of all 3 Alliances
1 x Assassin - on a char still levelling but with max CP.

Blue books - probably hundred +; I lost count ages ago.
Purple books - not as many as the Blue books but at least 50 of each - probably more.

Soul Shriven is gained for completing Cadwell's Silver; it is account bound.

My first Imperial book was found a couple of weeks after I bought the Imperial upgrade. I often wonder whether that was a coincidence or not.

just to add a tiny little bit to this...despite Imperial being one of the 10 basic racial styles, it is still extremely rare, as folks have noted. I started playing in spring of 2016, got 2 my first 3 months and while playing quite a few hours daily ever since, I've never seen another. The other nine racials are rather common. Numbers 11 thru 14 are more common than Imperial, but still rarer than the racials. Ebony, which is purchased by writ vouchers, is available in both pages and complete book through the vendor. Buying the complete book is a little bit cheaper than buying all of the separate pages, so if you can, buy it whole.

Bottom line, for any motifs that are made available by any means as both pages and books, the books will always be extremely rare compared to the pages. The only exception that I'm aware of is Ebony, which is equally available and can simply be bought in either format.

There's also Soul-Shriven, which only exists as a full book that you can only get upon completing Cadwell Silver.

Imperial motif and rest of default race motifs.
History, like a human being, is thirsty when it wakes from its slumber…History wants to drink up an enormous amount of blood. And even if history has tired of drinking blood, that’s only in regards to the amount. But what about quality? The larger the sacrifice is, the more delighted the cruel gods will be.

The chapters and rarely the book are occasional drops when completing Undaunted Pledges. I'm not aware of any other sources, other than possibly special event drops, such as gift boxes received during the anniversary celebration. Hope this helps.

Pretty sure you are correct. There is an extremely rare chance a gold book will drop for a motif.

Friend told me they're sold on guild merchants but I've never seen any so far. I really can't do the pledges - my lag is SO bad, stuff like that is.... just unworkable. (Eh, when I say my lag is bad.... 2000 ms all the time.... satellite: my only connection....)
