It's the organized groups who probably run trials and get the most powerful gear that make BG really unfun sometimes.

The gear from trials is trash for pvp, anyone in pve gear is gonna get smoked by someone in a dedicated pvp setup.

Gear from Trials is trash huh? Not True.

Asylum and Master`s weapons as an example.. from TRIALS. Some REALLY strong weapons for many pvp setups.

Also running some trial sets combined with more typical "pvp sets" is not uncommon, some combos are very good.

Master weps come from a 4man. Asylum weps (the only weapon set that comes from a full 12man raid) can be used in some off-meta builds but generally see very little play. The regular armor prices are generally very bad because the 3 piece always has minor slayer/aegis and the 5pieces tend to be very difficult to extract value from outside of the controlled environment of a raid fight.

But you’re quibbling over tiny details when the major point that I was making was that OP wasn’t losing pvp fights on account of not having access to trials gear, the majority of which is explicitly designed to be unattractive to PVP’ers.

yeah, the thing that kill pvp is the small scale turtle build.
they couldnt kill you 1v1 and you only have a small chance to kill them.
it become more *** when theese kinda gameplay grouping with the exact kinda gameplay.
the only thing they can do is 3v1 with ulti dump while turtling.

defend stats more rewarding than offensive stats

Sorry that's bs. The main reason why a person in a 3v1 is not killing anything is because he probably is waiting for a window of opportunity or because your chasing him with a troll healer a ganker and someone spamming ccs and he knows if he stops to burst hell be ccd ganked and bagged. So his best bet is to wait till the healer gets bored and he can start killing people...
The better question is: Why can't you kill a person in a 3v1?

Sorry if this seems like more of a gripe then anything.. But today I was first in battlegrounds where a single werewolf and an army of healers wiped out both teams.. over and over.. there was nothing we could do to stop the situation and it got overly frustrating.. there I can see is something tactical about putting together an situation where all you do is zerg ball around killing everyone and healing.. But that is not what I think of as fun..

Another similar situation was in IC.. where a group of 3 healers.. continued to just heal and shield each other.. building ult then bombing everyone.. I'm sorry its a very cheezy comp. I think this game needs to come up with something to help these situations. "Let's make PVP fun again."

At this point, I'm dreading the next event and I'm completely put off by what is going in PVP.

    @EkojiRone
    Problems with healers and tanks?

My healer & tank buster setup. I can promise you there isn't a healer in the world who can heal through that...
Working on a updated version atm it's working great so stay tuned

Its true one can do pvp just fine without trial gear. Just wanted to point out that trials do have some good choices for certain kind of pvp setups. Yes, was a bit of quibbling over tiny details, but i like tiny details and quirky comments. :p:p

Oh and not all of their 3 piece have the slayer/aegis, there are versions with max stats. Couple decent sets actually. But not many use them. But couple nice gems of a sets there to pair with the usual Seventh or Shackle. Wish there was more actually, adding good stuff here and there is a good thing. Sadly.. many pvp players are the type of: "when its gonna be at Golden, cant bother running the dungeon.." (Zaan as an example) :D
