I would never buy a character slot, but I would absolutely buy class change tokens
All I want are at least 2 more character slots, Leveling, doing Undaunted, Mage Guild etc. will give me an incentive to play the game to its full extent again and maybe have some fun along the way.
You can be functional in ~100 hours, and you only have to do it once (per character). This has already been covered. All I want are at least 2 more character slots, Leveling, doing Undaunted, Mage Guild etc. will give me an incentive to play the game to its full extent again and maybe have some fun along the way.
You'd actually bother doing everything all over again? How much time do you have on your hands...

Honestly this should've been a thing for years already. There are so many players who love to stick to their one special character, that gets all the attention and with the scale of things this game has to offer it's impossible to just make a new character with the same worth as the last.
Think of not just leveling a new character from 1-50... That's not the issue.
What makes us want a class change are things like:
1) Completed quests, adventures
2) Earned personal achievements
3) Character's backstory/RP
4) Earned skill lines & Skyshards
5) PvP Rank and Titles
6) Crafting Skills and Research progress
7) Special connection with said character
8) Time limitations for all of the above
And of course in some cases:
9) Dissatisfaction with the direction of our main character's class or desire to try something new.
All of the things in these points above can take up to months and even years to replicate on a fresh start character. Something so complicated and time consuming that many of us would rather quit the game than do all of this all over again, if we suddenly lost our main characters.
Can we please consider this? ZOS? The profit for you is that this would generate insane amounts of revenue. Especially if implemented well. This way people will keep making alts too. If you worry too much about it anyway - include a 6/12 month cooldown. Let dedicated main character players enjoy their side of the endgame as well. Thanks @Sheezabeast!Sheezabeast wrote: »I think all players having completed Caldwell’s Gold on a character should unlock one class change token to that character as a reward for completing such a feat. I have seen this sort of thing in other mmos and it hurts the game. Players start jumping around to different classes without fully understanding the 1st one.
Not really too worried about this because Zos generates more revenue by not having this in the game. The purchase of xp scrolls, character slots, dlcs, chapters.
Way more lucrative without class change tokens.

Almost anything worth a damn is account wide in this game. Leveling takes very little effort and the second a character hits 50, they are very nearly ready to go minus the guild and world skill uunlocks. Get off your asses, level up a character and throw some damn purple gear on them that would otherwise be collecting dust in your bank stash.
I dont get it.. you are even remotely invested in this game at a dedicated core level, you will have multiple leveled or at the very least understand full well how easy it is to do so. If you are as casual as humanly possible, why on earth would willingly pay to skip the entire leveling process to begin with?
I hope for the simple sake of not conforming to lazy entitled desires and for the sake of the games integrity that zos turns a deaf ear to this one.

It seems you didn't even read what the op wrote, it has nothing to do with leveling, its more of a RP matter, it is an rpg after all.
I don't see how implementing something that you can choose not to use can screw your experience so bad as you depicted

Pretty much what I'll do.I have 9 toons
Support
1 Tank (DK) (Nord)
1 Heal (Templar) (Argonian)
Damage
1 Stamplar (Redguard)
1 Stamblade (Kitteh)
1 Stamsorc (Orc) (But is essentially purely WW (Rele / Molag / Bloodmoon)
1 Stamden (Bosmer)
1 MagDK (Dunmer)
1 Magsorc (Altmer)
1 Magden (Breton)
At this stage, I don't want another toon, I want to convert my mag warden into a mag necro.
If I cannot do that, I prob won't get the Chapter at launch, I'll get it on special and just play the zone content.

RP even moreso. If you are invested in RPing, leveling a character should be a highlight.
It has to do with catering to a demographic that cant be bothered with playing the game. It has nothing to do with being an alt-holic. If you play this game habitually, you are likely well past 160, have access to training trait gear, ambrosias, exp scrolls and purple gear to make leveling an afterthought. Between that and the numerous double exp events throught the year, how on earth does one not have various other classes leveled. If you play so little that you have access to none of the above then why are you even spending money on such a thing and not just playing the content.
It is a redundant unnecessary request.
But no, i did not drop my ice cream and no one peed in any of my treats. Clearly im just getting too old for this and beging the early stages of "back in my day" territory. If you want the benefits of something, you have to put in the work for it. And in ESOs case, said work is paltry. Instead we have an audience that would sooner ask for another way to be charged money on the crown store.
And for what little its worth, if zos was foolish enough to incorporate a change token, rest assured that necro would be omitted from the service for at least a few months

I still don't get why you're so triggered, why do YOU dictate if people should be into alt making, questing, rping or what the hell pleases them?
You see, you really are getting old, this "others having stuff that i think they shouldnt" reminds me back of the old prejudice days of america. Until you got _ZoS in you username, i couldn't care less about your tantrum.
