Question regarding night blade pvp

Hi,

Recently I decided to try PvP as a stamblade. I am CP 523 and I joined a pvp guild recently. But I have not figured out the skills yet, even not sure about dual wield or two-handed. I googled and found that people argue that in general 2-handed is better than dual wield. But it's not quite clear to me how different they are? I would like to play as a Assassin type, as in move in, kill and move out. Any advice please? I am using Alcast's gear, because I just started I am not sure if that fits me. So any advice on gears will also be welcome!

Thanks!

time...….just keep playing. And ALcasts builds are mostly end-gamefish...not beginner...but just stay at it. :)

First deside what you want to be. A durable front fighter or sneaky ganker (NBs are better at the latter).
So for a classic NB ganker you can yse any combinations of:
Bow - Is very versatile, cause you can use it at a distance, so it more like hit and run style
Duals - are the best base weapon damage for hitting hard let alone some cheese like spin-to-win
2-Hander is a solid balanced choice as it has a high base damage, hard hitting skills + good survivability (crazy stamina healing skill or stamina shields)

Personally I didnt run NB ganker, but one of my friends was good with 2H + Bow (I guess its a classic choice), the other one used DW bleeding bild which also hit hard

Also this type of build uses mobility, so its medium armor and a lot of dodge rolls. For sets Id definitely recommend Bone pirate first, then anything you like. Maybe something that works with roll dodge or just plain damage bonus. For traits Id recommend good old Impenetration, although you can try your luck with divines, but its very tricky.

You can also throw there some magica (like Shacklebreaker or Prismatic glyphs) for things like more invisibility, in PvP its good to have both pools high

As for skills for a ganker you have to use some fixed rotations, including something like incap, CC (fear), execute ability, poison arrow, maybe wrecking blow, but its tricky, so surprise attack is fine. Dawnbreaker is good as an ulti too. Dont use ground skills like Endless hail. Caltrops may work but its more for utility. You can also use vigor, momentum, invisibility (for obvious reasons) Mark target against the likes of you :) Rapid maneuver

You pretty much have to use a 2H wpn in some respect because you need rally if you’re playing in medium or forward momentum if you’re in heavy. If you want to play a quick strike classic stamblade you’ll probably go bow backbar and 2h front bar. You could also back bar a 2h and DW frontbar id you don’t care about range attacks. You’re going to probably run 5 medium pieces and 2 heavy (chest and head or chest and leg), all impenetrable trait. I suggest blood spawn monster set for sure. You’ll want prismatic glyphs on head chest and legs as you’ll want to have at least 12k magicka for cloak. Aim for at least 3k crit resist in CP, about 24-25k health, and 33k+ stamina. You’ll probably want 1700+ stamina recovery also and you’ll probably end up with about 3-4K wpn damage. There’s a ton of set combos you can run. And for mundus stone it’s up to you starting out you may want to use the lady for extra armor, and then move to warrior or whatever suites you later on.

Thank you all for the generous input! I will tune my set a bit and try to upgrade them.. Prismatic is pretty expensive though, I will try to earn some money for it haha.

I use Clever Alchemist + Spriggans Thorns and Bloodspawn monster helmet then I try to turbo my ultimate incapacitating strike out from stealth or cloak repeatedly. And trying to finish the target with killers blade before they can heal.

Spriggans can be replaced with plenty of other sets (hundings rage or archer's mind) but he penetration tends to be the largest increase in damage over getting more weapon damage (although that increases healing)
