Destructible Milegates Improve Cyrodiil Performance?

Do you think that by adding destructible milegates and more outposts to the game, ZOS intended to spread out the zerg in order to improve performance in Cyrodiil? If one faction can stop another faction's zerg at a gate, they will be forced to go around or go somewhere else, forcing the third faction to go to the other side of the map to defend against the invasion. This would prevent stacking at one keep (Arrius) during primetime so instead of having one large battle going on there would be several medium-sized battles occurring across Cyrodiil.

    Since nerfmire dropped it seems like the performance is even worse. I guess there really is no limit to performance issue.

    Has it fixed the lag? Not really. The extra outposts were unneeded.
    But I say in the context of being able to control land better and not have zergs running amuck as easily if the bridges and gates are destroyed.

    Their time would have been better spent making it more complicated to get emp than just zerging ring keep, or further balancing the AP gained for defense vs offense keep fighting. Defense needs a big boost. I’ve had some crazy long defenses of 30 min or so and been awarded about 15k AP and I wasn’t the only one. That’s ridiculous.

    In theory it was a good idea but it was sort of counterproductive with the introduction of goat paths. While understandable and logical, it defeats the purpose of milegates/bridges a bit.
