Why does Accelerate (& its Race Against Time morph) only provide 3 seconds of major expedition...

...when all other ability-based, instant-cast sources of major expedition were standardised to 4 seconds in Murkmire?

(Rapids being the exception, for obvious reasons)

    Those other sources you're referencing don't provide you with passive bonuses like a free damage shield every 10 seconds and stack based passive direct damage ability. If anything, the ability is over-powered...

    The two effects you've quoted are part of the skill line itself and can be procced by literally any other Psijic skill. Balancing Accelerate around that specifically doesn't even make sense. Also, good luck trying to proc Spell Orb with Accelerate... that's gonna be productive, lol.

    I agree with your second point, no one should be la weaving with accelerate lol, but posters point was that there are bonuses to slotting accelerate that other ME skills lack.

    Other major exp skills have passive bonuses too though. Bird of prey has the minor berserk & warden passives, blur has it's major evasion (ok that's active) but also has bonuses from the nb passives.

    I agree, it should be at least 4s, though I'd like to see class based major exp skills buffed to a longer duration aswell, cause it gives power back to the classes.

    Yup. Quick Cloak gets DW passives, Empowering Chains gets the 30% DK snare passive, etc etc.

    All the other maj. expedition skills benefit from their skill line's passives, in addition to having additional active bonuses attached to the skill itself. Accelerate isn't special in any regard, and deserves equal treatment to the alternatives.
