Lord it was a problem - couldn't get logged in, if I did couldn't stay logged in. Had to get with ZOS CS to figure out how to get around the crap - and also had to buy the game from ZOS again (it was on sale for 10 bucks, but I would have at that point paid WHATEVER just to be able to play....)
You can get a digital code from ZOS, don't need a disk. Hopefully..... you have plenty of bandwidth....
I've never used consoles, so have no idea about controllers. But I have friends who've ALWAYS used controller options with the PC version. How they do that, I don't know. But likely there are people around here who can point you in the right direction.
Welcome to addons!

And other than addons, it's the same game you played on console. Happy New Year!

[*] Do NOT get the game from steam
[*] Addons are awesome and really make the game more enjoyable since the game lacks even rudimentary things like crafting multiple potions
[*] lag and fps drops are still there even on pc and quite bad in some trials and in pvp
[*] get minion for managing your Addons
[*] even if you have a really strong pc set some settings down when you raid
[*] Doing random dungeons and bg helps a lot with grinding exp

I do have some questions and concerns tho, I heard that mouse and keyboard is the best way to go, but I have some other friends who now play on PC say they use an xbox controller, as you can install the drivers for the controller and run it wired to your rig. Do any of you guys do that?
There is also going to be a lot of learning for me to do. Its well known that console does not have any add ons. I would not know where to even start on which ones I should get, or even how to put them on my machine. Any advice? There are some things that I am excited for. I will love the buff trackers, especially for my nightblade tracking my dots and my buffs, and the way the game runs in general. On Xbox frame rate and lag has always been an issue. In trials frame rates on the XBOX1 have always been crap. I thought it was my internet connection when I first started raiding, but its a widespread issue with XB1. Some people have it better than others, better ISPs, geographical locations, better hardware XBOX1s, etc.....but its still not as a good experience as the pc guys have, such as frame rates.
I truly look forward to playing with some of you PC guys soon!
