So, what were your biggest regrets of 2018 in ESO? Missed opportunities, bad purchases/investments, etc.?

Mine: leveling a PVE DPS Magicka Warden when everyone warned me not to.

Coming back to this game.
I was finally clean, eating smart but then im like huh i wonder what's happening in ESO.
Now i play daily. Someone call my mom and tell her i'm not dead.

Buying mounts/pets I don't ride/slot anymore.

Got to stop being like "ohh..shiny" and buy *** and just be happy with what I have.

Edit: Except the senches. I will buy every single one of those gosh darn kitties and have no regrets. Still waiting on the tiger mount to come back.....been waiting nearly 2 ½ years....

I apparently forgot to make sure my 12th character had the ale active before the event ended. I didn't realize this until after I spent hours shopping so I could power level her real quick. So, now, I have a bunch of things saved to use during the next double xp event I guess.

I bought too many crates this season because I accidentally really liked the super apex blue and black lizard senche mount. Did not get said mount of course. I generally try to just ignore that entire level so I don't get overly interested in any of the special mounts, knowing the likelihood of getting one is almost in the negative percent chance.

@mommadani907 This was me during the Reaper Crates Fall of 2017. I wanted that Drugar Frost Senche so bad I spent so much trying to get it. Not only did I not get it but I got the Cinder Wolf instead (the other Apex mount) which the sound has been broken for months. In a way I am glad I at least got an Apex mount but on the other end, I was so close. I still admire people who do ride it and wish I had that luck/money to get it.

But I also learned and never spent that much on the game since. I asked if I could exchange the mounts and they said no. I am 100% certain if they had exchanged it, I would have spent more in the store this past year but since then it has only demotivated me to spend money on crates. I guess that is a good thing for me though.

Actually enjoying new Shuffle on a build, and having a lot of fun with it, to learn ZOS talked to class reps about it being too strong against Templar Jabs. Instead of BUFFING Jabs they are inclined to change it to Minor Evasion.

The plague horse was with the same crates, correct? I still think the horse is better than the wolf but that is my opinion. The horse glows, the cat glows, but the wolf........its very dry in comparison imo.

Burning the year trying to make sorc mega fun to play again, hoping stuff would get sorted for the class / reps listened to.

Overload getting rekt, ward weird changes, death of MagDW etc just not fun.

Uninstalled the game, cancelled sub and took a 4 month break. Then I just wanted to have a little peaky.... now I'm back on the wagon. Even fired up that spreadsheet of mine just to make things worse

Already made my biggest regret of 2019 as well; gave away my first War Machine dagger to some ungreatful Richard who "needed that dagger". Back to doing pug trials in offline mode and ignore any request for items I don't link in the chat

Not starting earlier in the year. I'd have spared myself some terrible SWTOR nostalgia and might have saved myself some bad GW2 memories. That $15 I spent on the BOGO SWTOR subscription special would have been fully used here by a far more deserving dev.

@Starlock I always wondered who would buy them for the prices people say. I would ask someone how much a motif is and they give a crazy amount and when I say that is way too much, they will say they sold one for that price to someone else. I then reply that I wont so good luck. I aint got time to try and sell it for a stupid amount so I lowball all my motifs. I have so many it's not funny. I should just hand them out tbh so make room in my inventory and boxes.

I watched the market for quite some time on this particular motif chapter. All of the other chapters I was able to get within the ballpark of what I look for, except this one chapter. I kept waiting for the price on it to drop, but months after release, it didn't. The reasons for that made me roll my eyes in of itself, but I could not find anyone selling it for anywhere near a reasonable price. So I took the 100k gold from daily rewards and said "okay, I'm done waiting, I'm getting this stupid thing at this stupid price." Then the undaunted event happened - which unexpectedly flooded the market with DLC dungeon motifs - and monopoly on that chapter crashed hard. It's still priced well above what I look for, but it's not as obscene as it was. Had I known the Undanted event was going to run and drop DLC dungeon motifs like candy, I wouldn't have given the price gougers a dime. Never again.

Buying 90 Xanameer crates (in game currency, but still). Such ugly mounts and the weapon motifs are even worse. No idea why I spent so much gold on such rubbish.

My biggest regret is trying to get that Inderik (spelling?) mount. The game just became a chore and I fell out of love of ESO. I still have a hard time playing. I am suppose to play the game for fun, doing the Festival Events was not fun for me. It became work, and boring and "something I had to do".

I only log in everyday to claim the "reward". I think I will have to stop doing this to get "free" stuff because it took my passion out of the game. Games are suppose to be fun, entertainment, not work or a chore.

I regret crown packs I bought for race changes in pursuit of my "happy place" pvp build.

Which turns out by the way to be a stam DK. 7 Heavy. 5 well fitted, 2 impen. 5 torugs. 5 impreg. Infused poison and phys for stam. Blood Spawn. Ugly ugly ugly build.

I hear that a lot. That magdens suck. I have one, and wear master architect and necropotence and the damage output is not bad. Granted it's no match for my Magblade but most of my characters can't dush out the damage he does, and I can clear vet trails with guild mates with no problems and we run a few wardens doing it. I also run vet dungeons (Moonhunter keep and my favorite March of Sacrifices) with no issues. Even did vma on her a few times just to see if i could and it works. Again, not the best but it's definitely doable.
