Two things have happened:
1. They've said they plan on reviving some dead sets.
2. DLC announcemnt is close.
I don't fault them for using/abusing the private information they received during their discussions with the devs. Who wouldn't? An example would be Mother's Sorrow buff and last minute nerf. How many people invested in that? The difference with PTS is that the info is available to everyone. So everyone can make early predictions.
But still who hasn't done this?

I do not beliefe, that any rep makes profit by already buying sets together, which will be buffed. If so, please OP tell me who bought all that gear and especially which gear set.1 -

✭✭Ever since Murkmire hit a lot of endgame players stopped supplying the demand for a couple of items and most the population is newer players who don't have a ton of gold which is why you see the drop in prices of certain things like crafting materials. Now- if people suddenly started farming Direfrost for Ice Furnace- I’d think something was fishy.
Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

✭✭✭Without any sort of proof, I have to say I'm a bit skeptical about the whole conspiracy.
Even if it were true, I can't say that I really care all that much. If a set gets buffed and I want it, I'll just go grind for it. I hate the current guild trader system, so I rarely buy anything anyway. I'll post stuff for sale, but If I can't find it on my own guilds, I won't run over all the zones searching it out.2 -

ZOS should just check it out as they have proper tools for it (or so I hope ...), if it was true make a public wall of shame and point fingers + ban for such thing + demotion from Class Rep to "I was naughty and got punished".
if it wasn't true that certain sets that they shared info with the Class Reps, they should just post item sets bought list from class reps on forum to stop the flaming.
End enough story, no need to wonder if they did it or not, I mean without solid proof I can say half of people posting here are serial killers too given the logic OP goes by.
Ok so to sum it up:
OP post the items
OP makes a report to ZOS along with proof he thinks he has
ZOS responds and is going to find out if it was true or falce accusation
ZOS gives us info if it was false or not accusation with evidence.1 -
