Spellcrafting glyphs in the teaser, or something else?

Very true, Spellcrafting has probably most definitely changed a lot since 2014 - I mean, look at Murkmire. It's whole location and plot and purpose of the zone (from Craglorn-esque to small Story zone) has changed.

It might be more simpletic, and that's probably for the best, but the concept still seems pretty interesting and exciting to work with in whatever bounds they decide to do with it for balance.

Personally, even if it just ended up be a glorified skill morph system, I'd still be pretty excited with what they could do with it.

Interesting. He could have responded to any of the speculations on his twitter, and he chose to respond to that one.

I thought so, too. If it isn't something related to spellcrafting, that's really mean of him.

Yeah, if they really did decide to cancel Spellcrafting, they sure don't seem to mind leading us into believing that it is, instead of coming out and officially shutting the idea down quickly to minimize disappointment.

Spell crafting if added right now would cause a quite a sit storm...

Firstly: because if it would be available only for owners of new chapter or a DLC it would be en enormous P2W on a completely new level. Can you for example imagine how PvP would look like if every one had access to invisibility spell ? Or a "negate" spell ? Or a hard CC root spell like DK talons ?

In all aspects of the game, both PvP and PvE all balance between classes would be thrown out of the window and we probably would have one class best for all roles, as there always will be something like "BiS"...

Secondly: Inventory management. In short, without going in to much details, if you want to do crafting daily quests on more than one character you either have to use your bank space to keep crafting materials or go for your wallet and buy ESO+ to have access to Craft Bag. The default bank space, if you keep all crafting materials in your bank (only top tier + motif materials) is something like 236 / 240 slots occupied by crafting mats.

Spell crafting without a doubt will add a huge chunk of new crafting mats and at this point the bank will be simply too small to keep all of them. So without updating / increasing bank space, with spellcrafting ESO+ will also became even more P2W as it is now (regular players will be punished for not using it instead of ESO+ players being rewarded for doing so).

Well, we're still missing all base game updates for this year yet so Spellcrafting musn't necessarily be Chapter related. I think it would cause quite the outrage if it wasn't a base game update.

Aren’t there glyphs like in the image, on the wall in the boss room of banished cells?

I feel like I have seen those in game before.
