Got a new buddy into the game and for the most part been power leveling him to 160cp which he just hit tonight. Whats a crafted/easily farmed/cheap build I can get him to start off on teaching him dungeons and actually really getting a feel for true healing?
Playing on PS4 NA server and current characters are CP 750

Btw any of the 3 between crafted, easily farmed or cheap will work. Just want to get him kinda started off right so he gets a feel for it then if he actually enjoys the content he'll get ESO+ and we can work on getting him his SPC at least

As a templar healer I am going to assume that you have gone mag templar.
    5 piece - Crafted Seducer armour - 3 traits
    2x mag recovery
    3x max magic
    4x mag recovery
5x reduced mag cost by 8%

    4 piece - Farmed Necropotence
3 piece jewellery - farmed from dolmens
1 piece armour - from any delve
    2x max magic
    3x max magic
    4x max magic

    3 piece - Crafted Adept Rider - 3 traits
    2x spell resistance
    3x physical resistance
weapon / healing staff (counts as 2)
    1 piece armour

Farm the Necropotence first and then make the armour around the rest.
I would choose chest and legs in heavy armour for resistance and health and the rest in light armour for magic.

With this you should have a good magic pool to draw on and decent magic recovery coupled with enough protection to survive.

Necro does not work with temps.

Necro 4 part works as above the 5th part (not recommended) is for pet builds.

However 4 pieces of Necro will progressively increase max magicka based on 2x pieces, 3x pieces and 4x pieces

5 piece Mother's Sorrow and 5 piece Combat Physician (found in Wayrest Sewers dungeon). It's certainly not anywhere close to BiS but it's not too hard to get and it does the job for dungeons.

Doesn’t look like they are proposing using the 5 piece but not sure it’s a great set otherwise.

Seducer and Krags would be a better combination for starters for me and then going for your normal healing sets like Olorime, worm etc.

Until you get a monster set then another crafted 2 piece that gives either magicka recovery or max magicka

I'm on PS4 NA and I'll have to check prices but I'm pretty sure Mothers Sorrow is pretty expensive and honestly Necro might be as well. I know its not horrible to farm but its not that easy either cause Rivenspire is **** xD

    with

Sanctuary(Banished Cells), combat physician(Wayrest Sewers) perhaps, or farm normal WGT for Spell power cure.

Until he get proper gear, I would start crafting Seducer (3 jewels + resto and lightning staves) and Kagrenac (five body pieces). Then he can start farming WGT or Cloudrest even on normal to change Kagrenac body pieces with SPC or Olorime. In the meantime, he can easily get the Sentinel of Something monster set from Darkshade I.

I would use martial knowledge for the 4 piece over Necro, will be cheaper and give larger heals. I recommend that actually. 4 martial knowledge, 5 seducers and probably 2 torag pact. Good balance of heal strength and regen.

You see thats the problem. You try to teach him heal dungeons at CP160+, while he should be already doing it using all the necessary skills, since level 20.

Have look here Option 2. Easy to get, easy to craft and works great even on n-Trials until you get the gear.

Preferably I would choose SPC (WGT dungeon) over Olorime (Cloudrest Trial) until he is more familiar with how to place the AOE.

I get that but I'm still gonna start him off with easy stuff like Fungal 1, Darkshade 1 and all that. He's no noob to mmo's and the others I've played with him he's always been an insanely good healer so I'm not too worried

might as well craft julianos instead. easier and faster then 4 pc necro though its not something I would personaly recommend initially. for me at least i found that when getting used to healing in ESo, I would use breath of life way too much so anything lowerring cost of abilities/boosting my magika regen was far more helpful for me then straight up increase to magika. but that's just me.

I second suggestion of seducer, its incredibly helpful early on. willpower jewelry is pretty much a staple starter jewelry set - its cheap on traders, especially if you get it in healthy (which honestly? I found very helpful when just starting out)

A nice setup to start with, which would be 100% cheap farming:

jewels and weapons: Shroud of the Lich
5 armor pieces: Vestments of the Warlock
    monster: Chokethorn

For an easy starting point, 5x Seducer (crafted) + 5x Eyes of Mara (crafted) + 2x Willpower (bought).
All divines and have him run the ritual mundus stone. I would use how ever many health enchants he needs to get to 18k health and the rest as magicka. Jewelry I would do all arcane with 3x magicka recovery.

That should give him plenty of sustain but still provide big enough numbers to keep people alive with a healing springs spam.

I'd replace the Eyes of Mara as soon as possible with something like Spell Power Cure or Sanctuary, which can be farmed from nWGT and banished cells respectively, as soon as you can. Once he is comfortable trying vet content, get him Bogdan for a monster set ( Elden Hallow 2).

5pc Seducer and 5pc Innate Axiom (templar using mostly class skills on low skill level)

For head and shoulder craft a 2pc set which gives mag regen until you get monster set later.

I agree with this. Instead of seducer you can also use julianos gear. When my wife came back to the game that is what she used. Kaeg goes perfect with Templars ability to pick people up. She completes all content no problem.
