How much speed before you hit the cap?

How much speed can you give yourself before you hit the cap? I want set of speed gear for harvesting and general overland content but I don't want to waste resources if I'm over the cap.

I was thinking:

Jailbreaker (well fit)
Fjoird's (well fit)
Jewelry with Speed
All medium
Orc

I'll most likely run Rapid's most of the time as well. Is this going to put me over the speed limit?

Speed limit on foot is currently 200%.
Try the minimap add-on, it shows the speed.

Are the increases additive or multiplicative?

Please keep any add-on references to yourself, because they are useless to the console players, thank you!

There's a whole world of PC players it helps. Just because it doesn't help YOU, doesn't mean it should be shared.

The speed values are additive. The cap, as stated, is 200%. So, Orc gives 10%, each piece of medium armor gives a bonus, rapids is 30% (major expedition)....so, as you can see, you can cap out pretty easily without the need for well fitted. There is also the steed stone, swift traits on jewelry, and other sets better than the ones OP listed for moving fast.

We have to assume you asking for a PvP application, and that the OP is a magic toon....otherwise Jailbreaker not a very good choice.

Move to PC and you'll be fine then... ;)

Pc is a minority of only 1/3 of the platforms. The people who would actually need command of the knowledge themselves, rather than ignorantly follow what the screen says, are the majority in the 2/3rds of the platforms - XB and PS.

    Thank you @Cavedog.

Yes, that will put you way over the speed cap.

I have experimented with several sets that boost speed or reduce sprint cost or do something when sprinting etc.

I also used a speed meter addon to test with.

In conclusion, an orc in medium will hit the cap without hardly trying, the speed nerfs have pretty much evened the playing field for everyone.

Nowadays any race with the right build can hit the cap easily.

So my speed build became more focused on how useful it could be whilst sprinting at 200%

I finally settled on an orc in medium using Jailbreaker and Cowards Gear.

Giving you minor expedition always and major expedition and major protection when you sprint.

With an orc in medium there is no need for Fjiords or Swift jewellery or the Windrunner cp star.

    Hope that helps.

Orc actually only gives 4% speed when sprinting. 10% of the 40% increase in sprint=4%...😑

Dont think percentages are additive. You can easily hit 200% with adding the percentages and rapids still increased speed. Either way consider using fiords and darkstrides with two monster pieces that give stam recovery. Use dubious and whatever mundus you need. You can literally zoom across any zone with no worries about losing any stam. Also put CP's into reduce sprint cost.

Now that is a funny statement. The game is so abysmal right now that I find it unlikely it has that many console players. I hear most of the guild traders aren't even purchased on console. Your die hard players that remain are using this thing on PC. One third of the player base? Come on, man.

No made up numbers. Prepare to suck a lemon.

According to Firor, the population is split fairly evenly among all platforms. Currently, Elder Scrolls Online is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One.
    End quote

    1/3 PC
    1/3 console XB
    1/3 console PS

Therefore, PC is the minority, outnumbered by console players roughly 2 to 1. So, it really IS very important to consider what info the console player would need, as there are more of them.

Considering the number of players that seem to be coming back to pc from consoles, I'd imagine that pc is a substantial amount of the active population.

Get a load of this guy. Do you realize that the knowledge you're looking for comes from these "ignorant" PC players meticulously testing speed contributions via addons? Give credit where credit is due.
    ookami007 wrote: »

200% is the cap. 100% is the baseline run speed, and sprinting adds 40% to that baseline. The rest you have to acquire through sets, abilities, and passives. Each additional speed increase is additive, the 2% windrunning cp passive used to be the one exception but iirc that was changed not too long ago to be additive as well.

Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.
