Would you be more inclined to PvP more if Alliance Rank was account wide instead of character bound?

During a discussion today about account wide achievements (i know beating a dead horse) it was brought up about PvP Ranks being based on the accounts total AP earned instead of the characters. Part of me thinks it would be amazing to be able to show time played altogether instead of having many characters with smaller ranks. But on the other hand it takes away from the ones that have grinded to GO and especially players with multiple GOs, Thoughts?

I'd be more inclined to PVP more often and with greater pleasure if the lag, bugs, glitches, exploits, and persistent performance issues were addressed.
When it comes to rank, I'm perfectly fine with my MagDK healer having a much higher rank than my much newer StamWarden. I have a lot more PVP experience on my MagDK and the rank reflects that.17 -

✭✭I don’t think it will change how much people participate in pvp if rank is account wide. I pvp because that’s the only thing in the game I enjoy on a regular basis outside of playing through new pve content just once.
In fact if something like that is implemented then once PVEers reach the necessary rank then would they never need to step foot in pvp ever again? If that’s the case can I have my undaunted rank account wide?
A compromise might be to have an account pvp rank for achievement purposes but keep each character’s displayed rank and skill unlocks based on the individual character.- PC/NA

1. I don't like the idea of account wide PVP achievements. Each of my soldiers has its own rank and I like that. When a character ranks up, it gets a skill point and a tad bit more prestige in the alliance war. Making this account wide would devalue the system because it "hands out" all of that which was not earned to all of your characters.
2. As VaranisArano stated above, lag, bugs, glitches, exploits, and persistent performance are the main pain points. Those are the things that make people log out of cyrodiil.

I would have no issue if all AD characters on an account shared the rank or all EP characters, but not all characters across all alliances sharing the same rank. It does not make sense for a DC character to help increase the rank of an AD character.
In game design goes along with it not being account wide as we have siege that is limited to specific alliances and cannot be used by characters in a different alliance.3 -

✭✭✭✭✭I'd be quite happy if the titles were account wide. Someone with the skill of a grand overlord is not suddenly as skilled as a volunteer just because they rolled a new toon. I'm fine with the skills being locked per character though. Unlocking the skills to rank 10 on 15 toons is feasable. Unlocking grand overlord on 15 toons is absolute madness.
It woudln't make me pvp any more or less, but it's a change I could agree with.0 -
