An FYI on Evolutions You Don’t Want

If you only want one or two evolutions, and are upset about tickets going to the void, just buy all the berries anyway and don’t use them.

Stick them in a storage coffer somewhere and sit on them on the off chance you change your mind down the road. The feathers will always be around to make more Nascent Indriks, but the berries will be limited to their specific quarters, so it will be prudent to stash them just in case. There will always be the option to never touch them.

That’s exactly what I will do. The indrik I want most is pure-snow which means I’ll have to wait till October-December to be able to get “white” berries. I’ll just buy all other berries and keep them in my bank.

While I would prefer to have access to all berries at once, I’m ok with things how they are now. Events allow you to collect a way more than just 10 tickets, so if you don’t like a specific event or don’t have much time to play during that time, you still can manage to get your berry.

We wanted to get a mount in game, we got it, and it’s a cool looking one (I love deer-ish mounts^^) we even have a choice of 4 different skins. There will be lots of events, yes, but no one obliges us to do them all right?

I think the grind will not be that terrible. Dremora motif made lots of noise, and it turned out to be not that bad to get it.

Feathers can store into your bank, you can not store two of the same type in the bank. You can store them on a character as well, again only one of each type. In theory you can have a max of 16 feather sets, just not enough tickets to do this.

    Moral: Plan ahead

I'm planning to collect all berries as well, in addition to purchasing additional feathers. I'll probably hold off on evolving any Indriks until I'm sure which one I really want, in case I end up missing too many events due to real life. This way, feathers aren't wasted having to get a new Nascent if I don't end up liking the one or two I'm able to get.

I'm not planning on missing many events and I think I'll be just fine getting enough tickets, but life happens. That's also why they are selling tickets in the CS - for those that really want all 4 variants and the original Nascent but aren't able to earn enough feathers. I don't see a problem with the tickets being for sale because of that. And, if someone really wanted to fork over all the real-life cash it would take to purchase 360 event tickets? Who cares? They just wasted a ton of money to get things that the rest of us will get for free in game.

I’m still getting skeevy vibes from the tickets going to crown store, because history says they’re going to use that as an excuse to make the feather and berry obtaintment on a ridiculously tight schedule.

A catch up mechanic is fine, purposefully making it require near perfect timing to get every evolution in order to force people to the crown store is less fine, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt until we see how long events are going to be running and how many tickets they’re going to give.
