What is up with cyrodill performance lately?

I mean we're used to [snip] devs who have ignored poor performance for 5 years now, but past month or so the performance (particulary on PS4NA Vivec) has been disgusting.
This isn't just happening around zergs either. Even if you're at towns trying to find small scale the wider impact of the lag is affecting gameplay. This hasnt happened to this extent from recent memory.
What lag do we speak of?
- skills Grey out after dodge rolling for 1-2 seconds
- cast time abilities like dizzying swing just not doing anything
- having to spam my heal button four times to get the heal off once
- the obvious load screens, blue screens, rubber banding etc
Oh but don't worry guys we got a Midyear Mayhem event coming up in a few days to spice things up.

This is also why they've not even fixed something as simple as campaign rewards (still giving old sets). ✭Jokes aside, cyrodiils performance is ridiculous right now on ps. I’ve died so many times simply due to bar swap not working and skills not going off.

✭Its very bad, Most of the time i die in pvp these days is because of lag. im not saying im amazing or anything, just it would be nice to die on my own terms, not by having a lag fart.
Ive been in countless fights that would have been good but both myself and my opponent were unable to do anything and just gave up...
This is why people just spam steel tornado and win fights, if you try and use skill and positioning the game cant keep up with you.
May as well just do what everyone else is doing and run tanks af ha builds.

Yes it has. Last night I solo'd some resources and couldn't get a skill off against NPCs. Connectivity isn't a problem. Oh, plus "YOU CANNOT MOUNT IN COMBAT" and random load screens when you're in the middle of nowhere. Forgot about that.
I think what frustrates me the most is the silence. I'd really like to know how often ZOS plays PvP on the PS4. I'm thinking never, because I can't see how this situation would go on for so long if they had first hand experience of what it's like to be an ESO Plus member trying to PvP on a regular basis.
We're idiots. We keep paying, putting up with updates that break the game 3-4 times a year, 90 day waits for fixes, and new bugs introduced with every fix. Maybe ZOS should spend a quarter just fixing everything, instead of pushing out new content when the existing content is broken.
