If they're going to sell them in the crown store I wish they'd start NOW. "Late in Q1" is too late to save me from being forced into PvP if I want to finish the Dawnwood indrik, and I will not forgive them for the stress and misery that's going to cause me.

it only makes it unimportant if you let it be that way. it's all about the way you think. if you let how other people acquire things bother you, then you're never going to be a happy gamer ever.

enjoy what you've done and how you did it. forget about what other people are doing. i mean, unless you enjoy getting frustrated like this, then by all means continue.

I was extremely disappointed, and actually upset, when I found out today that Crown Store Exclusive items really are just early access items.

I feel lied to, tricked, and deceived.

Especially when you consider that the reason they silently ignored questions about extra Indrik feathers for months was because they knew all along that they would be selling tickets in the crown store. Now those players who believed customer service when they told them to destroy extra feathers will feel used, because now they will be behind on the grind and encouraged to buy them outright. Certainly seems shady, at best.

This will open a new can of worms when such players realize. I hope they are prepare to restore feathers.

P.S ESO needs better customer support

Why does anyone cars about people buying mounts they have?

Where does this weird comparison game come from. You did something to get something and now you feel other people dont deserve the thing you have?

One of those if everyone has something it isnt cool anymore? Its a mount given for very minimal effort, like 0 effort. Took some time sure, but to say the effort was high, thats just hyperbolic exxageration for effect.

Because the mount was meant to be only earned, not bought. That was what made it special.

This game has no earnable mounts now. That is a travesty.

I get that sentiment, but at the same time, its a mount. I did the quests. I got all my tickets and got my mount. It was a pain at times. But if some fool wants to buy one in the store, with real money, I could care less. I got mine for free. If I didn't get it, I'm not going to bust out my wallet to buy one. Because its a mount. It has zero impact on how the game is played.

Now, if ZOS made it possible to buy things like vMA weapons in the store, then we'd have a real problem. Because that's when P2W comes into play. Nothing in this game is earned quite like those weapons. Not even close to "earning" a mount by doing repetitive quests, most of which I would have done anyway.

I'm not saying people shouldn't be upset. I'd be lying if I said part of me didn't think this move is super weak. But a travesty is a bit much.

    I'm a little torn..

On the one hand, putting the tickets in the crown store feels like it cheapens the work people have done to earn tickets. I, for one, played almost every single day of all the events, so I would be able to get some extra feathers for more Indrik evolutions. I maybe wouldn't have sat there for ages hoping for dungeon finder to work if I'd realized I could just buy the tickets later.

On the other hand, I can appreciate how this gives people who missed events because of holidays a chance to catch up. I'm a big softie, so I feel bad for the people who weren't able to get their tickets/feathers.

All in all, though, it cheapens the whole point of the events and the Indrik mount, which was to bring everyone together. These events had their rough points.. but they also had the community really coming together. And now what people have put in hard work and time to earn, anyone can buy with a big enough pocketbook.

I'm severely let down by this. And it kind of makes me think twice about getting involved in events in the future. After all, if I really want the reward, seems like I'll probably be able to buy it eventually. :(

This puts my views on this pretty well.

I'm also deterred from doing future events because there are simply too many of them. Events are supposed to be special, but if we are going to continue runing straight on from one event to another then they just become a distraction from playing the game.

Won't happen. Target audience has changed. A good deal of the player base is only interested in crown store updates. True gamers are peasants that don't spend enough on virtual shinies now.

I was pleased about the news. I worked hard to get my Indrik and I'd love to get the berries to upgrade it, but there is no way ever that I'll do any pvp. I'm also happy that others can get an Indrik if there were unable to participate in the events. Seems like the main problem is the lack of communication about the crown store selling the things for the Indrik previously, which seems odd to me. All I can imagine is that they hadn't decided, otherwise they could have stated it up front and made more money on sales rather than players getting the mounts at no cost except for working hard in the game. Which I thought was fun, most of the time and I'm glad I achieved the Indrik at least, if not the berries.

Assuming the worst, each event will award you 1 ticket per day. The Mid Year Mayhem is running from the 10th to the 21st. Roughly 10 days.

"Collect 10 Event Tickets and use them to buy Indrik Berries"

Berry 1 takes the entire event.

If that is the way it will work for the other 3 events, you would not be getting enough Tickets for more than 1 evolved Indrik. If it takes 40 tickets to make the initial Indrik, you would need a ton of feathers, which would take the place of buying berries. At least this way, if you want to collect them all, you can buy the feathers, and use the events for berries. Otherwise, take your 1 Indrik and be happy with that.

Also, For those who missed the events or didn't get enough tickets to finish their initial Indrik, they have an option to not be left out.

I don't see this as being greedy, or being deceptive or anything.

What about the people (like me) who deleted what Lil feathers they had and don’t want that mount?

You can have my monkey if it makes you feel better. Exclusivity doesn't mean anything other than you were playing a game at a certain time.

So my beta monkey somehow makes me more special than a person that didn't learn about ESO until this year? Hell no it doesn't it means nothing other than I was first to the party.

You want the ice wraith, dwemer or monkey, then I feel you should be able to buy it for sure.

I don't use comparison to judge my worth or an items worth, if I enjoyed or feel I worked for an item in a game, then I will always feel that way despite other people having "easier" access to it. I don't care if you buy your monkey, rent your monkey or spank your monkey, its just a video game monkey.

This post makes me happy. It really does. I was on the fence, but I shouldn't be. I'm glad you can play as you want and get the mount.

The real issue is the same as always. These people just can't stop misleading/ lying/ overselling, whatever you want to call it. If they had just said the whole truth from day 1, there's no issue at all. I'd still have collected 80 tickets. But they hype this journey to get the mount and then switch to crowns. I just don't understand why they choose dishonesty so consistently.

I feel you're being purposefully deceitful to prove a point. 5 years with plenty of content left to do would mean you play a few hours a month at most. I consider myself super casual and could start new and have all the content done in a year at best. Standing still never playing any content for 5 years doesn't mean there's a great deal of content.

Edit: Eso despite its recent turns for the worst is still my favorite mmo of all time. But it is severely lacking in content compared to its peers.

I don't see the issue. If people want to grind it as I have and a lot others they get the mount that way. If they want to buy it from the crown store it is their money or saved crowns. Even limited items and a motif that was in PvP only hit the crown crates. The only items that are really rare are the radiant apex mounts from the crates. So all is working as intended. :*

So all working as intended. :*

Maelstrom weapons and other gear still has to be earned or is a grind to get. This is unfair to the majority of the community who depend on the crown store for a good time. Here's to hoping this gets remedied in 2019. :D
