you can buy extra feathers with your extra tickets towards getting another basic indrik to replace the one you are going to evolve. they say unique, but it just means unique per character. since tickets are account wide, you can just buy extra feathers on an alt.
    dirty worthless casual.

Exactly - spend your extra tickets on more feathers so that you're reading to create a new Nascent Indrik after you evolve one of them. Why would you still have a Nascent Indrik if you evolved it into a different Indrik?

While I agree that the in-game Help topic on this was a little vague, it was pretty clear that the Nascent Indrik collectible becomes locked when it's evolved into a new Indrik and then a new Nascent collectible is unlocked and you can earn feathers to create a new one. That's how you can have more than one Indrik variant, by evolving 4 Nascent Indriks into a different variant.

Kinda wishing I had stayed up late/gotten up early to earn the 3 last tickets in the Undaunted event, so I could have one extra of each of the feathers instead of just the three I have. But, I guess I'm ahead of the game from what I've read here on the forums, as many players either just stopped doing an event or just let the extra tickets go into the void instead of purchasing an extra feather or two.

As for feathers in the CS - that just allows players who got the game over the holidays to get caught up. You got your Nascent for free, while they may have to spend real money on tickets to catch up if they want all four variants. It doesn't in any way devalue the ones we earned. I don't get why people are upset about this. Unless, of course, ZOS intends to make it really hard to even earn the upcoming berries and additional feathers. But I don't think that is the case, but it allows for people who might have to miss events to get some tickets here and there. Or, if someone is really lazy and has a lot of real world cash, they could buy enough tickets to get all four Indriks, but that would presumably be expensive and kind of stupid, since you can earn them in game.
