"Like the Indrik Feathers during the 2018 Q4 events, upon the start of each new event during Q1, the Impresario will stock new Indrik Berries and any previous Q1 Indrik Berries for the Dawnwood Indrik. She will also continue to stock all four Indrik Feathers required to summon a new Nascent Indrik throughout 2019. This means that should you acquire enough berries to evolve your Indrik, you can immediately start working on getting a new Nascent Indrik for a different evolution in the future."

I'm not surprised. Its a pay-to-catch-up mechanic. Like Research Scrolls.

Players who are new or who want to opt out of certain events like the Midyear Mayhem because they want to avoid PVP or don't own the DLC and who don't want to wait to accumulate the event tickets may or may not buy them. As long as they don't make in game Event Tickets hard to acquire, its not like you can't get them from doing the events and get your indriiks that way.

Now, the problem I do have with it is that Berries are only available that quarter, which means that for anyone who can't/won't do the event, buying Event Tickets is the only way to get the Berries. So unless ZOS does another ESO+ trial at the same time as the Morrowind or TG/DB celebrations like they did for Clockwork City, those people may be out of luck. It depends on how many extra tickets they can acquire from the other events.

Also, 4 events in Quarter 1. Wow. I'm...going to be burnt out on events if this pace holds.

Well, at least the situation is finally clear now. Means I can spend all the next event tickets I get on duplicate feathers so that I can get both the luminous and pure snow Indrik.

The berry fragments only being available during their respective events and the tickets in the crown store are a different issue altogether though...

So instead of just selling that Indrik mount directly in the Crown Storem they sell single tickets. Just imagine if 1 Ticket will be like 400 Crowns each that would be 4k crowns for ONE feather or berry. The monetizing of this game gets more and more disgusting. Soon we will be able to buy achivement stuff like skins and personalities in Crown Store as well...

I wish it was clear to me. This is from the official article:
"Once you have all four unique Indrik Berries, use any of them to transform your Nascent Indrik mount, replacing it in your Collections UI with a new, evolved one!
The first set of Indrik Berries that arrive with 2019’s Q1 events (January – March) allow you to transform your current Nascent Indrik into a Dawnwood Indrik!"

So, it does not matter which one of 4 berries I feed him, I'm still going to get Dawnwood Indrik? If yes, then why da heck will I have to collect all 4 berries? If that's not the case, why does it say that it will be Dawnwood Indrik???

ESO, you cannot be any more confusing about this event!!!

So we need 80 tickets per mount? That's kinda insane.

I also think that restricting the berries to each quarter is an awful idea. I'm going to be away in March so I might miss the last event which means that any berries I get in the first quarter will be useless if I can't get the fourth. Plus, you need to get 40 +40 in each quarter if you are starting from scratch. I did everything but the Undaunted and ended up with 52 tickets in Q4.

      This is really daunting :(

The first set of berries gives you the Dawnwood Indrik. If you prefer a different Indrik you will have to wait for the next event.

I hoped that all berries would be available at once, so that each player could choose their evolution. Instead everyone, or at least most of us, will be going round with the same Indrik, at least for the first phase.

If its an limited time say you can only get one berry type during an event that is bad, ok if it done like feathers as you can buy it at start on next event. Also the issue that you might have to buy an berry even if not having the feathers to use it just to not miss it.

As for too many events, you don't have to take part or simply do one quest. not sure how this work for PvP is one battleground enough?

      Edited for grammar :(.

As whitecrow also already said, the first set gives you the Dawnwood Indrik - so yes, you need all four berries because you need to feed the Indrik all four of them. All four of them are different. (can't remember the names of the three they already revealed, but they all have different names as well.)

So I expect, correct me if I'm wrong with this, the following:
In Q1 we'll get four Dawnwood berries. We need all four to get the Dawnwood Indrik.
In Q2 we'll get four Luminous berries for the Luminous Indrik.
Four Pure Snow berries in Q3 for the Pure Snow Indrik and...
Four Onyx berries for the Onyx Indrik in Q4.

EDIT: I should clarify that this is just my assumption. Maybe there won't be four events per quarter of the year, and maybe the order will be different. (would make more sense to release the Pure Snow Indrik in winter, now that I think about it) The only thing we know for certain right now is that Q1 will be for the Dawnwood Indrik. Anything else is guesswork, sadly

So if you want just one of the Indriks, you should only spend your Event Tickets on the berries for the variation you want, because as soon as you feed your Nascent Indrik berries, the Nascent Indrik will be lost and you can't change it into a different variation. If you want more of them, you need to collect the respective berries and duplicates for the four feathers.

Basically, if in the worst case scenario you're a hardcore collector and love Indriks so much that you want all five (Nascent, Dawnwood, Luminous, Pure Snow and Onyx), you'll need a total of 20 feathers (five of each feather) and 16 berries (all of them different). I'm bad at maths, but that's...? 360 Event Tickets for all Indriks? I don't know, but I think that's also the number they mentioned in another thread.

(wish I had understood this sooner though, or most of my New Life tickets hadn't gone to waste thanks to the 12 ticket limit...)

Ah yeah I hadn't see that yet when I posted, sorry!

I think what they mean by that is the same thing we had with the feathers - we just needed to "use" one of them in-game to combine them and get the Indrik. We still needed to have all four in our inventory, though.

I do hope that I'm wrong and we only have to get one of the berries, but from what I've read in other threads that's probably not going to be the case...

Depending on the price I'm fine with event tickets being in the crown store. When the indriks were first datamined I was willing to pay for the one/s I wanted, this just adds a step to that process.

I'm more concerned with berries only being available during 1 quarter. Luckily the Dawnwood Indrik is the one I really want but my plan after that was to stop worrying so much about getting as many tickets as possible and pick up a feather or berry as and when I had enough tickets. Instead it sounds like I may need to buy extra tickets just to get enough feathers while the berries are available (depending on how many tickets each event gives). Or more likely pick just 1 extra indrik to get.

It's a shame, this was shaping up to be a really good system, then ZOS had to go and make it excessively restrictive and rushed.
