I'm not understanding the "grind" complaints. My definition of a Grind is doing literally the same thing over and over (ie - killing mobs) in one area for at least2 - 3 hours. This was 9 different mini-quests, you are doing different things in each, and once you had all the wayshrines locked down, you can complete all 9 in 30 - 45 minutes.

I agree with the idea of getting all the quests at one time and turning them in all at once, but I sure would Not complain about how tough a "grind" this was. How easy do people need things to be?

The only actual "grind" to me was the loading screens. I didn't think to time them but I would anecdotally say, with reasonable confidence, that the loading screens actually contributed to >50% of the time it took to complete the 'easy 7' (fish boon feast and Betnikh not included).

There's only so many ESPN articles or Facebook videos I can watch during those load screens before I start to question whether the event is worth my time. I play ESO to play ESO, not surf the web while waiting for loading screens.

This was my first year ever participating in the New Life Festival. The quests were fun, but after doing the same ones every single day, it did become tedious. I think it'd be nice to have different quests with different content. And I definitely agree that it'd be awesome to be able to do all of them at once and return to Breda at the end. The only other complaint I have is the rewards in the boxes, or rather the drop rate or whatever it's called. I did the quests every day and got 3 charity writs. People were also telling me they got pets multiple times and even houses! I only ever got motifs, haha. It would've been nice to get some extra cool stuff too. Anyway, the festival was fun, and I met some new people. :)

I'd like there to be a new set of quests that any character that has completed the first set gets offered. If you have a new character then you have to do the original quests and wait til the next day to get the new ones. The twist? These new quests are for the specific race of your character and are done in your racial homeland. The first time. They END with you being assigned the quests for ANOTHER race and when those are done, ANOTHER race, etc., until all the races are done and each set of quests has a day's cool down. I am fine with the style of the current quests and hope they will remain in the spirit of lighthearted fun. I'd LOVE a Nord one in the Nord chain that involves throwing snowballs and would hope that a permanent snowball memento would be added to the rewards like the mudball one is.

The rewards? The FIRST time you do a racial quest you get a special runebox item. This should be a racial costume. The SECOND time you do a racial quest you get a pet appropriate to the lands the quests are in. And, all along, you get the already available silly regular rewards we're familiar with.

The writ for the quests this coming year should be for a permanent version of the High Wrothgar Mints. You know, this one:

What happens if you complete ALL the racial quests on a single character? You get a single special momento. I'm open to ideas on what that should be but I would really like for it to be lore appropriate. I'd be okay with yet another costume.

Yes, this is a lot of work for the devs. But after multiple years of the exact same event it's time to change things up and encourage those of us who have played this game for years to keep on playing and actually be excited again about the holiday events.

Feel free to share your ideas about what kinds of quests you'd like to see. And what kind of rewards!
