I had fun once I realized that I could mute the music and listen to my audiobook. But, I had a relatively low character on EU that I had created for the Summerset event.

I didn't mind unlocking the wayshrines for this event, but I was annoyed to have to invest 3 points into blacksmithing and one into the others to be able to do the green writs. Give low level characters a break and don't make them cripple their builds in order to participate. I know you can respec, but I needed combat skills not crafting ones.

More variety. For example, if there are 6 daily quest slots possible have a pool of 18 from which the 6 are drawn.

If I cared about "playing" the event, then mix up the activities and make them more interesting.

Since I don't, fix the frustrating events (WASPS) and call it a day. I run it just enough to get rewards and then dip.

Well, I did the Betnikh quest a few times, because I really was doing my best to get my main to as close to 50 as possible. But yeah, the wasp/honeycomb was enough to make me give it a pass more often than not.

Seriously, I didn't do that event or the timed ones on any of my lowbie girls. Timed events on 2000 ms lag? Ain't hap'nin. Eh well, didn't do the timed ones on main either, for same reason of course.

I only did them sporadically this year and can barely remember doing them all last year--are there any timed ones besides the one race? That one honestly can be done easily without moving if you group up (and tell the others you'll hit your one torch and that's it, lol.

The Bergama and Rawl'kha ones are timed. I - didn't know you could group for the Bergama one. Then again, I start stuff like this really early (like 7 am MDT) so not sure there'd be a lot of people around. A lot of times I didn't get the "optional" things in Stonefalls and Stormhaven as I seemed to be the only person there! (not that it mattered - I don't see that the optional bits had any importance at all).

My main's only around 30% from 50 - so that's a good thing. And I really had fun with the event on a lot of girls. For me - a win win.

Let the stupid Sprint be able to get the Achievement without the use of Speed Buffs. Currently impossible even with exceptionally high stamina. Must have bonus speed of at least 10 seconds to have any chance of getting the Achievement. Also - Remove the walking guards on the bridge that block the runners. Or make them intangible.

Let players Know that "drink Betnikh ale" means use the provisioning created drink - not drink from the casket that says "Drink Betnikh Ale" - to get the Achievement

Make the Collection items sellable to a vendor if you so choose

Don't worry about Imperials. They dont celebrate anything because to do so would infer that there is something other than they themselves that is great.

We need chicken wings to go along with the Ale

Not true! I got the achievement on two characters without using anything. Just know your route well and sprint when you can and it can be done.

    A quest for the Imperials.

Seems to be unfair to assume they do not celebrate something - even if it doesn't seem like much of a celebration to the rest of us no.

I was going to suggest that the game keep track of what a player has already been given in terms of recipes and motifs. So you don't end up with 4 of the same thing while you are still missing others. But I wouldn't mind a quest for Imperials to be included next year.
    My Characters.

    Mike Snow - Imperial - Templar - One-Handed and Shield - Tank - Daggerfall Covenant - Commander.
Catelyn Rivers - Breton - Sorcerer - Destruction Staff - Daggerfall Covenant - Telvanni Magister.
Ashara Sand - Redguard - Warden - Two-Handed/One-Handed and Shield - Daggerfall Covenant - Heroic.
    Tormund gro-Largash - Orsimer - Dragonknight - Two-Handed - Daggerfall Covenant - Furious.
Lysa Rivers - Breton - Nightblade - Bow/One-Handed and Shield - Vampire - Daggerfall Covenant - Brassy Assassin.

    Jon Karstark - Nord - Dragonknight - Two-Handed - Ebonheart Pact - Drunk.
Arya Sand - Dunmer - Dragonknight - Dual Wield - Ebonheart Pact - Assassin.
Sansa Snow - Impeial - Warden - Destruction Staff/One-Handed and Shield - Ebonheart Pect - Swashbuckler.
    Jojen Reed-Walker - Argonian - Templar - Restoration Staff - Healer - Ebonheart Pact - Melancholy.
    Alys Karstark - Nord - Nightblade - Bow/Dual Wield - Ebonheart Pact - Minstrel.

Nymeria Woods - Bosmer - Nightblade - Bow - Aldmeri Dominion - Thief.
Brandon Wings - Altmer - Templar - Restoration Staff - Healer - Aldmeri Dominion - Scholar.
    Lyanna Flowers - Altmer - Sorcerer - Sword/Destruction Staff - Aldmeri Dominion - Duchess.
Marvolo-jo Riddle - Khajiit - Necromancer - Destruction Staff - Aldmeri Dominion - Deadlands Firewalker.
Obara Woods - Bosmer - Templar - Bow - Werewolf - Aldmeri Dominion - Cheerful.

The most fun i had in this type and time of event was in starwars galaxies

    In the town of Wayfar

    - rebels had to decorate trees in order to get coins
    - imperials had to destroy presents in order to get coins
    - you got more coins if you were PvP enabled

So it would be cool in PvE zones

    - Decorate trees
    - Or if you don't like New life... destroy other peoples work

And in Cyrodill, the same and no extra coins.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

stop doing these long and grindy events. It made zones lag, made a lot of player not available for other content as they were too busy grinding for an ugly skin.

    In terms of items:

    1. Santa suit (which looks good on female chars, too).

    2. Star for top of New Life Tree (or any other fir tree).

    3. Baubles for tree.

    4. Christmas/New Life lights/candles for tree.

You can use a star fish, apples and plain candles for decorations; but, artistically designed glass baubles, a golden star and proper Christmas lights/candles would probably look better.

Eliminate grind. It's meant to be a festival, not a job.

    1) Only ONE distinct quest a day, perhaps organised like daily login rewards (that is, they progress in order, regardless of how you do them. To prevent overload, these daily quests are organised randomly for each player.

    2) Any rewards like the New Life Charity Writ should automatically be awarded on completion, rather than being a random drop. In that example, after 12 days you'd have enough.

    No. More. Grind.

We'll keep playing during the festival because of the double experience. But grind is beginning to kill the game, especially with the ongoing barrage of events.

I like the skin. My only quibble with it, is you can either highlight around the eyes for better definition, OR have facial hair to accent the look - But you Can't do both.

I'm not understanding the "grind" complaints. My definition of a Grind is doing literally the same thing over and over (ie - killing mobs) in one area for at least2 - 3 hours. This was 9 different mini-quests, you are doing different things in each, and once you had all the wayshrines locked down, you can complete all 9 in 30 - 45 minutes.

I agree with the idea of getting all the quests at one time and turning them in all at once, but I sure would Not complain about how tough a "grind" this was. How easy do people need things to be?

I would make it where you could pickup all nine quests at the same time so you could just go do them all and turn them all in together. Same with the Murkmire prologue quests.

Not only this, but is it really that important that I visit the lava dance taverns (or do the castle performances) in a particular order?

The other change I'd make is actually have a new target for mudball merriment each year to match Breda's text.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

Khajiit supposes the potential for improvement really depends upon changes to Tamriel itself in the coming year - whatever they may be.

If, for example, the housing system opens up more and a log book is introduced you could introduce a quest for visiting three homes that are not your own maybe?

Perhaps a festival of homes of some kind might be considered if the system allows it somehow even?

My assumption is a type of passive vs active engagment for players. The new life festival quests are very passive and become even more so on its thread year.

For me I loved the stories but just thinking about doing a Breda quest was pure toture. I liked them first year, the second year was so so, but the third year I was like this is going not going to happen.

My personal thoughts is the quests either need to fresh or add more. No reward is worth boredom.
