[Suggestion] Mannequins that we can put our unused gear on.

Suggestion that recently came to me, it would be nice if there were Mannequins that we can place in hour houses that we can equip with our un-used gear.

    This would be pretty awesome. There was something like this in another game I played once, long ago, and I liked being able to use my armor as physical decorative items if I liked the look of a gear set I no longer used.

    Like in Skyrim? I would like that. But I also remember the dummies in Skyrim would occasionally eat your gear, so it would either disappear or you couldn't remove it from the dummy.

    I want mannequins that I can equip with a specific gear setup and then any one of my characters can equip it. One can dream...

    I have also thought about mannequins that are bound to a specific gear set. Lets say I had one that was bound to Burning Spell Weave. I would be able to store an unlimited amount of BSW pieces on it and it would also take the appearance of the set. I think it would be very cool visually for collectors and really take the burden off of the inventory crunch we all experience. It might even encourage people to farm sets (and content) they might otherwise ignore.

    This idea has been brought up A LOT. I mean A LOT. I’m hoping it happens but I’m not holding my breath. Even if it does it’ll probably be Crown Store exclusive which would be very disappointing.

    Uh. Consider.... very seriously.... if you want ZOS making mannequins for ESO....

    Remember the mannequins in Skyrim, before a couple of really great mods? Do you REALLY want mannequins which revolve to watch you as you walk into a room? Or mannequins which stand somewhere besides where they belong, and refuse to MOVE where they belong?

    Really. Think about the hit or miss programming in the current iteration of the game. And then.... extrapolating from known info.... project to a hundred mannequins wearing every set any given player has ever acquired.

    I personally don't want to go there.....

    This has been suggested since the first implementation of housing. It was a good idea then, and it's still a good idea.

    Always a good idea; I've suggested it before myself.

    I think the most useful way they could be implemented would be if after placing them, you click on them to transfer your full set of equipped gear to them. Then the next time you click on them, it swaps out all of your equipped gear for the sets saved on it. Essentially, it would make them function much like Dressing Room, but without the need for addons and only available at your homes.

    Also people can visit your house and stole those Mannequins along with gears.
    History, like a human being, is thirsty when it wakes from its slumber…History wants to drink up an enormous amount of blood. And even if history has tired of drinking blood, that’s only in regards to the amount. But what about quality? The larger the sacrifice is, the more delighted the cruel gods will be.

    If they (programmers) already have so many problems with the space issues in housing, i too believe that mannequins interaction will make it even more complex. But let´s have faith in the future o:)

    Would be awesome in my Hakkvild's Hall, which is sort of a library/museum. I love the idea. I wouldn't perhaps put some valuable armor on them, just craft low level gear in some desired style and put up for display. :-)
