Keybinds (With Razor Naga Trinity)

Hi All,

So I have recently come back to PC EU from Xbox EU and have decided to invest in an MMO mouse this time

I have played around with the keybinds but have yet to find an optimum setup that I am fully comfortable with

If anybody is unfarmiliar with the Razor Naga Trinity, it has 3 options, a simple 2 button side piece (not really optimal for ESO), A 7-button “wheel”, or a 12 button MMO piece.

I know there are tons of “keybinds” discussions on here; however my question is aimed specifically at keybinds setups utilising this mouse.

To anybody out there that has experience this mouse, which side piece do you use and why? What are your key bindings and how do you utilise an MMO mouse to full effect?

Any tips will be greatly appreciated :)

I have a mouse almost exactly like that, the 12 button MMO piece, and almost all my combat keybinds are on it.

    7 is weapon swap.
    8 is potion.
    9 is dodgeroll.
10, 11, 12 are my first three abilities on each bar.
The only difference is, my mouse has one more button just to the left of left click, and I use that for my ultimate.

TBH I don't utilize it to its full potential. This is the mouse I had when I played WoW a lot and mained a fearl druid (which had a LOT of abilities back then; I would have to use shift in conjuction with some of the buttons). With weapon swapping in ESO, you can use the same keys on one bar as the other, which saves having to use every single button for combat abilities. I could probably get away with just using a keyboard for ESO, but I got so used to using this mouse that I just prefer having that setup now.

Anyway, that's my setup with that sort of mouse. I don't really use the first six button rows on the mouse because I have smol hands and it's just not comfortable for me. But I'll use them for non-combat keybinds.

Yes my current setup is pretty similar (using the first 6 buttons instead of the last 6 though)

I have just remapped “swap to bar 1” to mouse wheel up and “swap to bar 2” to mouse wheel down. Will test these along with adding my potions and dodge roll

Struggle to hit the right thumb buttons sometimes
I guess it’s just muscle memory along with a lot of practice!

The Naga Hex 2 (7 button) is more than enough for ESO.

With the Trinity you get this faceplate.

You'll get it. It's definitely a muscle-memory thing for sure. Even just the way we both hold the mouse and make use of the different buttons. I would have to retrain myself completely and even hold my mouse differently to use the first six buttons primarily over the last six.

And I hope you find a button comfortable for your dodgeroll. It's so much more reliable than the double-tapping.

Just run a few dungeons with the Hex 2 faceplate and it’s a lot more manageable

Using 1-5 for skills, 6 for dodge roll, 7 for bar swap

Seems to be working much better, just need to work on my rotation and motor memory

    Thanks!
