Valkyn Skoria VS Illambris for Magsorc

What would the benefits and disadvantages of each be? I have both sets now and want to know what would be the most consistent dps.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

✭I prefer Skoria for pretty much all my magic builds.
For illambris to work you need a good balance of shock and fire damage and by running dual fire you don’t have this with liquid lightning being your only source of shock or maybe a shock enchant too. If you swap to fire/shock you’d have shock on our bar with blockade but you’d then not have enough fire so I never find the balance is great with it. Don’t get me wrong on a dummy test the difference isn’t massive. I’ve never ended up testing in live environments though as skoria just works well so I’m not too fussed on squeezing out a few hundred more dps.
Skorias health bonus is really useful for using regen food and also has the advantage in that it tracks a bosses movement, so if the boss moves you still hit it whereas illambris is static and not a huge radius.

✭✭✭✭Ilambris works for if you run either 2 fire staves or 1 lighting 1 fire. The fire damage can proc off fire blockade, fire light attacks, fire enchants, and force pulse. The shock damage can procs of lightning light attacks, lightning blockade, force pulse, enchants, and liquid lightning.

✭✭I use 2 lightning staves, front bar has fire enchant, back bar has weapon/spell damage enchant. IonicKai✭✭✭✭Liquid lightning and blockade of fire will keep the double proc easily but dual lightning with a flame glyph on the front bar should proc the flame side of ilambris enough to keep high up time. The real question is do you need the health for survivability. If not ilambris is more damage due to the extra magicka.0 -
I use inferno staff with shock enchant.
Wall of elements. Liquid lightning. Ring of elements..... These skills procs ilambris 100% of time as dots are always critting great for pve... I literally melt through everything haha0 -
You don't need 2 staffs. 1 staff with a different enchant is all you need. Any aoe skills you have will proc ilambris. Especially on multiple mobs0
