Stamden PVP tips

Stormshadowonesixty
I need some insight on how to play stamwarden pvp
I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing as far as rotation

I have on 7th BS and Hulking
My front bar is
Bug, Crit charge, Execute, Dizzy swing, and forward momentum
my back bar is my buff bar really
SnB
Vigor, Bird of prey, fungus, ice fortress, and betty

Anything I shouldn't or should be using? and how would I play it out?

My rotation is basically bugs LA Uppercut crit charge, then bugs and rebuff then rinse and repeat but I feel like I'm not playing this right.

For 2h snb you should be more like

2h: Shalks, wrecking blow, forward momentum, execute, bird of prey

Snb: green lotus, ice fortress, vigor, shimmering shield, shrooms

Rotation is literally just shalk, heavy attack, wrecking blow, dbos, execute. That'll all hit in about a 2 second window with a stun on the end of it.

You shouldn't need a cap closer with birds of prey, which lets you fit shimmering shield in. You don't need bull netch since you are using heavy attacks for sustain (green lotus gives you a nice 2.5k heal every time you heavy attack plus procs your awesome passives, you shouldn't be light attack weaving anything but execute to finish off an opponent).

I remember that long long time ago, in the age of impulse trains, steel tornado got nerfed and became barely usable.

A few years passed, and people complain about it again...

I mean I cant see why an AOE with its own execute scaling already at the damage of a single target execute, along with a passive for its weapon line also having execute scaling would possibly be a problem.

Come on, it’s damage and cost efficiency is not even close to other executes, such as executioner/reverse slice.

It’s only good against stamblades and other medium armor classes, who heavily rely on dodge roll. In other matchups against magicka builds ( magsorcs, magplars, magDKs, magdens), I would chose executioner without doubts.

But yes, since 50% of Cyrodil play rolly-polly cloackblades right now, and BGs are dominated by stamina builds, yes, it’s powerful. Nerf stamblade a bit (edit: or buff other classes) - and it steel tornado will die very soon, like it used to be dead in homestead (I don’t remember the exact patch, before frag stun nerf), when 50% of Cyro were playing magsorcs, and steel tornado was pretty much useless against them.

Yes, it’s also good at aoe bursting potato groups in BGs, when you run in a warden premade, but that’s another purely BG problem.

Just about everyone dodge rolls to try and burst a heal or shield in execute range. Tornado is by for the most effective execute ability because you can't dodge it.

Especially open world on a stamina warden when you can sub assault/dawn bringer and aoe execute on top of it.

I prefer 2h/dw on a warden. 2h is pretty much a buff bar, not at my computer but I think I run

Leeching vines or that aoe root ice ability
    (Forget)
    (Forget)
    Forward momentum
    The ult gen shield thing

    Blood craze
    Vigor
    Tornado
    Ice fortress
    Bird of prey

I run fury and basically turtle a bit loading up dots and then sa/DB/s2w

If that doesn't burst them down then it becomes the game of rebuilding ult and trying to pepper them down to lower health before I combo again.

I focus DD damage with CP, including physical weapon so that the la/blood craze weaving does as much damage as possible.

so last night while I was online someone was telling me that it's not a bad Idea to have another CC like reverb bash, just in case my opponent is a little hard to hit
would that be an alright Idea until I got the hang of my dizzying swing? To have a slow and a stun so people can't free cast on me?

Sure, there are several options to make that happen.

What would you have in mind? Because I don't have enough pressure even though I try to keep up my bugs as much as possible in a rhythmic pattern

    @Brutusmax1mus

Is it that you think the defile will give you the pressure? Or you are having problems with dizzying swing? The build you're running with 2h is about burst, not pressure. If you're not getting the burst u need look to get more dmg. What are your glyphs and mundus?

Well maybe I don't have enough burst? Others are just telling me I don't have any pressure

my Glyphs are all kuta weapon damage
and all stamina but one (i know i still need to enchant this one for stamina) but I still need to transmute the rest of my jewlery to infused for weapon damage
any other pieces of info you may need ?

Sub, dbos, spin is good. You could also try s&b, with reverb and heroic as spamable. Tanky and access to major defile makes it strong. Combo is bugs, la, heroic, reverb, dbos, executioner.

I've been murdering people in battlegrounds the past few days. I use 2h and bow. I wear fortified brass and spriggans set all impen. I kill people so fast lol.

2h bar- forward momentum, Betty, sub assault, 2h execute, and wrecking blow. For super charge I use warewolf (really really strong)

Bow- I use vigor, poison injection, snipe (trust me it needs to be nerfed it hits way to hard I get a lot of kills from this cheese lol), the ice move that gives you a def boost I think it's called fortress, and birds of prey (movement speed is great), and my supercharge is dawnbreaker.

    I average 10-15 kills a deathmatch and 20+ assists.

    This ^

Althought I would recommend using netch over shrooms if your learning. It will help with sustain and shrooms wont keep you alive if your not moving and defending well anyway. Stamden has good heals and is very tanky so you don't need a burst heal as much.
