*laughing* Yeah.... old house, old people (youngest member of family is Libby, the Brit - who's 4 and a half....) Husband has had a back issue - compression fracture in a vertebra - and he's not dealing with it well (that's the "health" component) though he IS much better these last few days after the cementing procedure. Problem is, he's never had something like this and he doesn't get that he has to completely heal before he can go back to life as normal. He's 84 - this is the first major issue he's ever had.... and believe me, he is not happy about me telling him he can't do something.
I'm much younger than he is - 71 this month. But damn - I've driven almost 2k miles this month (doctors etc plus family wanting to have lunch in town, plus our truck having to have stuff fixed, and the little old jeep is just not good in the absolutely CRAP weather the last week or so....)
So I'm - tired. Exhausted actually. What I want for at least the rest of this winter (which will be until probably late April) is - just please let me play the game, don't ask me to drive anywhere for a few weeks, and lordy - let us not need to go to town for food in a snowstorm....
Sorry for whining. But a good New Year is - really different things for everyone....
@Sylvermynx hugs and well wishes for you, dear! I really hope it gets better!!
