Are the daily rewards worth it for you?

Just looking for opinions here. Was looking at the daily rewards and in all honesty I'm a bit disappointed. The lion cub pet isn't something I'm personally interested in and the biggest one is another 100k gold which isn't really great either since gold farming gets me more than that all the time.

I can sort of see the use of the potions and poisons for newer players or toons but for those that have crafting maxed out they're kind of pointless. What I can't forgive is the crown soul gems though. Personally I find calling those a reward to be insulting as you can get the exact same item just by playing the game. You can play any dungeon on normal and still get a filled soul gem per boss. The only difference between regular soul gems and crown is that the descriptions are flipped.

And before anybody mentions it I don't care whether there are free crates or not. I have never been all that invested in the items most crates have had so I can take or leave. But maybe a few better items like older dlc dungeons motif pages or some harder to obtain crafting mats would be better prizes. Give 5 perfect roe or a single chromium plating or something like that. Or maybe a unique furnishing. There are lots of stuff they could put out instead of the days of unwanted items they have been shelling out over the past couple months.

But this is just my opinion. What do you think? Is it worth going for everyday? Would also love to hear some other ideas for better rewards.

Considering it does not cost me anything extra it is an obvious yes. It does not even require a subscription, yes. If I do not log in one day I am not stressed about it and in the end I could care less if they remove them. But it is certainly worth it being free.

as an ESO+ member no, I feel I am not rewarded well enough. Maybe use my money to make a lag free Cyro on PS4.. I don't play on PC so use someone elses money on their server.

I love free stuff. Maybe not all of it is anything I'm specifically looking for - but so far all the freebies ZOS has given me have found a home somewhere.

So thanks ZOS. And I REALLY miss the free crates.

I'm logging on anyway, so I'm happy to get a little something extra. The only rewards I really dislike are the ones I will never use, but also don't stack with the items I do use. The food and soul gems generally get trashed as the inventory space is worth more to me than those items. I don't mind the tripots and poisons as I do use them eventually.

Gold, AP and Tel Var are fine. It doesn't make me go "WOW" but as it takes up no extra space, I'll gladly take it. If I were to suggest a change it might be to change the gold, tel var and AP to something a bit more unique. Not necessarily more valuable, but something with at least a bit of wow factor. Perhaps a new daily currency that adds up over time and could be used for unique rewards? I don't need a fantastic new pet every day, but a currency that could add up and buy me a pet might encourage me to log in to pick up those shinies for a guaranteed cool item down the line. They could even include older daily reward pets and mounts in that pool so new players can access them.

We didn't get anything before and now we get something, so I have no complaints.

Is it enough to make me log in just to get the reward? Not really, but I log in to play often anyway so I will happily collect free stuff.

The crown crates were fun, but I understand if they don't want to give us those anymore.

If I had one criticism it would be to stop giving soul gems and poisons. I don't have any use for them.

Yeah. I don't use poisons. It's.... not in my comfort zone as far as playstyle.

No sense complaining about something given free. Accept it and move on. If you don't like it, don't accept it or delete it.

I expect that if they ever turn off the daily rewards, the ones complaining about how bad they are now will be the loudest to complain that they aren't getting any freebies anymore.

This is one of the worst arguments to ever exist in these forums.

The reason free daily rewards exist in this game, at least, is to encourage people to log in and play for a minimum of 5 minutes. If the daily reward system does not achieve this for both either the player or the developer, it is not functioning as it is supposed to function. More complaints show the flaw of this system and it would never be spotted if there were no complaints.

The crates were ok. Trash like tri pots and tri food get deleted. 4K AP, 1k telvar even 100k gold, meh... mounts and pets? Double meh...I login anyways but if there wasn’t that irritating exclamation point on notifications I’d give the rewards a pass for sure.

I admit the rewards are a bit disappointing this month, but the log in rewards have never been a factor in wether I play or not. If I feel like playing I log in, and when.I don't I won't. I've never logged in just for the reward, so having a month of meh rewards really makes no difference.

I totally agree with the mats as rewards, why not give furniture plans or raw material surveys. I'm a grand master crafter with 1008 cp. I don't need xp scrolls, research scrolls or poison. I don't have the pet so I'll keep that and I don't PvP so the stones and points are useful. I'd like to see character tokens or name change tokens etc I'd even login for 30 straight days for a skill point!

Free gold! Who doesn't like that?

Free Tel Var stones. Great for giving my characters who don't have the 'collect x TV' achievements and free currency is always appreciated.

Free AP. Who doesn't like free AP! Been giving it to my baby healer, she could use unlocking that Barrier. Almost there and I haven't stepped foot in Cyro in over two months.

Experience scrolls. Ehh... I realized I had several types of these on many chars taking bag space so I ate them all. Matters not if they have all skill lines maxed and over 1200 CP. They still read those scrolls because why not.

Research scrolls are okay. Feed them to my alts who are still researching stuff.

Crown Tri-Pots. They're free and I give them to my tank because I'm not gonna spend the player-made ones PUGing a pledge.

Poisons I give to my stamblade for the same reason as above.

Soul gems make no difference. Everyone uses them. These just can't be vendored, but they are free and they scrape my dead backside off the floor just the same.

Pets, vanity items, etc. I'm fine with them. Don't use any of them because I already have more pets/mounts than characters anyway but lots of people enjoy them so they're cool. Only bad thing is the lack of a filter in our collections so we can remove unwanted items from cluttering the lists.

Crown Crates. I loved them. It felt like opening a Christmas or Birthday present. Don't get those IRL anymore so it was always fun to check what was inside, even if it was a 9th Nix Hound. Free gems! Not complaining. It's just sad that they no longer seem to give these out.

TL;DR - don't have anything bad to say about the rewards. I can see some usefulness in all of them, only sad that free crates seem to be a thing of the past now. I log in every single day regardless of rewards.

Would have voted yes if there was still the occasional free crate or 2. now I really don't know.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

I voted no opinion b/c I tend to log in for my hirelings every day I can anyhow, so I don't think I'm who zos is aiming at with this.

Outside of that, this month has nothing worth worrying about. I did like the guar last month and I like when they give out crates (in fact, the only time gambling crates should be allowed in any games is when they are given as freebies like that IMO). The Mirkmire gift was a nice one as well.

edit: as Phair said below me, it's free stuff, so I won't get that upset.

Simply no, as it answers the question you asked. I never log in due to the daily rewards. So therefore they are NOT worth it (me logging into the game for 5 mins) in my opinion.
Gold mats would probably be about it for me, or maybe nirnhoned stuff as I never farm in craglorn, "might" get me to log in for it.

I think the question is whether it is worth putting in the effort to log in every day. If you are saying it doesn't bother you when you don't, isn't your answer 'no'?

No, and it's a good thing. Now they actually feel like a little extra reward rather than something I absolutely have to get. I would prefer though if they replaced all of the items that go to the bag with currencies. Soul gems, experience scrolls etc are just a waste of bag space and are either thrown away entirely or practically thrown away by recharging weapons that are already nearly fully charged or using it on a CP capped char, because that's the only kind of chars I have. I'd rather have more AP so that I get skill points for logging in.

It doesn't cost me anything, so why not?

I have two characters wearing costumes I got via daily rewards.

The crown meals and tripots are surprisingly useful when leveling a character, especially since I made a new one for the EU server. Even on the NA server they saved me some trouble.

Alliance points level alliance rank on the character who collects them, so I've had characters get Rapid Maneuvers before they hit Level 10.

And I've gotten a total of 599 gems so far from free crown crates, 400 of which were spent on a mount I really like.

This, they don't cost anything, i use the three stat potions on my tank for easier dungeons as they are free and good enough then you just want resources to interrupt and chain in more trash.

Yes, considering we didn't get these things before. We didn't even get free things before they added the level up adviser. Heck, newbies get a free storage container and a free horse now. They even ended loyalty rewards. I'm much happier with getting free things now, than not getting them.

No in the sense they are not enough motivation for me to log in more then I would do had they not existed at all. Which is a few times each month (I think average is about 7 times these days).

The gold isn't important enough to me, I get all the gold i need just playing anyway. I don't need a lot. The one mount or one pet isn't important enough for me to log in extra either all those days unless I really really like it. Toss in a raven and I will log in daily till i get it :) And Murkmire sure as heck was motivation enough too (still playing through it casually). The rest of the rewards are filler which I don't really mind if I get or not, I hardly notice.

There don't seem to be any crates anymore in the daily rewards. Those had me log in daily to catch them all. The crates were cool and something I looked forward to, like a little birthday gift surprise. When not paying for it the rng is actually fun and a bonus to me. That same rng is why I won't buy them for crowns though, so this was my only way of getting them.

That said not feeling motivation to log in just for daily rewards is kind of soothing too. I feel no pressure to log in out of fear missing something cool. And just do that whenever the heck I feel like it/have time. Suits me just fine. So this is not a complain post but a don't care either way one.
