Another post of "im 2 leet 2 read or comprehend so ill blindly insult the OP".

I know what you mean man, there's a lot of people filling this chat with useless qq. Might not be who you think it is though.

Besides, if Zos did add them they would have to be noticeably weaker that what drops in game. Otherwise it would diminish the rewards from the premier content in game. Asylum weapons are easily obtainable as they drop in nAS which is extremely easy. vDSA is the least challenging of the vet content where skill changing weapons drop. I expect a great many players could clear it if they put effort, with a group, to figure it out.

    Emphasis mine.

I really hope you meant to write "endgame" here. The idea that trial/veteran content is in any way the most important is utterly abhorrent to me... and that is said as someone who really enjoy his time undertaking similar activities with his kin in LotRO, and with unaligned groups of friends back in the MUD era.

Your comment has nothing to do with the topic of this thread and certainly has says nothing about how my comment pertains to the topic of this thread. Seems kind of pointless.

Considering their initial promise was that crafted gear would be the best I wholeheartedly support this.

I do not support the idea of craftable 2-Piece weapon sets.
I do not support. I like this game because most most times when I go 'i want that' I have to work for it. There always seems to be content. I want those maelstrom staves but I know I have to wait and they will come to me in time. Except for the first time, going to the guild house to craft items doesnt provide me with a sense of accomplishment. For the casual player, I don't think being able to craft what is proposed will make that much of a difference to their overall experience. Maybe just make them want to get the next thing easier.

I highly support this and I support a crafted 2 piece helmet shoulder set even more.

If they need to add grind or a gatekeeper, maybe they could require unique mats to upgrade that are BoP. Or make the gear BoP and put the crafting table behind an appropriate challenge.

It's an elder scrolls game. I'd like to craft all my gear and not be penalized for it. I'm willing to fight and grind. Just need an opportunity.

As long as it is just good enough to run while leveling up then sure... once you hit cp 160 trade it in for the dungeon set.

OP here with a follow up update.

After reading though all the comments a second time the main issues I have seen are the following.

1.) The issue of devaluing the current 2-Piece sets that exist.

2.) The issue of determining how effective this gear should be.

3.) The issue of enticing players to run this otherwise required content.

I will provide my take on these points and encourage anyone to join in.

To begin let’s start with the current sets and their value. I personally have no use for the maelstrom gear (I run mainly tank or off tank for my trials so no need for the bow). Outside of PvP I do not have a necessity to farm them, thus I haven’t.

My reasoning for wanting weapon sets is this. Most people run 5-5-2 with a monster set. I prefer to run 5-5-2/2 using two weapon sets that complement that corresponding bar. My defense bar may have more health or resistances while my offensive bar runs more crit chance or weapon damage.

This may lead to no monster sets but it does net me a new benefit in return.

I feel that if we had more skill altering gear that we would see an influx of people using this concept. Perhaps even with 5-3-2-2/2 setups using both monster and weapon sets.

Now with that in mind how would we entice people to participate in this content outside of farming these specific gear? To be fair, I don’t know. You could perhaps incorporate a system that lets you collect tokens that you could exchange for perfected gear to assist in farming, or perhaps just offer gold coffers as a reward for finishing vet dungeons.

Lastly when it comes to effectiveness I have always felt this.

The weapons should work on a simple ratio of uptime vs benefit.

If it gives a benefit constantly then it should be weaker then something that gives the benefit rarely. How this is implemented I’m not sure, but in my experience it should be like comparing heavy hunding rage to seventh legion. Better uptime lower benefit.

Feel free to rebut, or critique.
    PvP needs more love.

It is not about being snarky since that is what would be pathetic. I think it is clear that even the OP is not suggesting making something craftable that is equal to a vMA bow or staff. I think most know that is not going to happen.

A number of us have suggested making these weapons available in the normal versions of the trial/arena they drop in. This has already happened with the newer content. Then make a perfect version only available when clearing the more challenging content vet which again is like the newer instances have.

This is a much better suggestion that making something craftable.

Edit: and if talking about monster sets as well. Most are easy to get and the rest are on sale at the Golden vendor. Just have to wait. I do not think Zos wants to minimize their undaunted system they setup so I doubt shoulder/head would be an issue. Besides, top PvE builds run a 5/5/2/2 build anyhow.
