Best race for Tank

It's clear DPS is not for me, can't achieve numbers over 12k. Thought I would try another role like tanking. Which is the best race for tanking?

Subject to change with the next update, but generally Argonian for that potion passive helping sustain.

But as always, I figure the best race for any role is the one you like to play. I have to have a good role-playing concept, personally, or that character won't make it past level 30.

Tanking is a role that race matters the least but there are 2 races I can recommend. Argonian if you are a beginner/intermediate, Imperial for advanced. You can always start as an Argonian and race change to Imperial with a Token if you can. I see that as the best way for someone who wants to start tanking.

I decided to start a tank about a year ago. My main purpose was to learn how my healer (main) could better support her tanks by playing a tank. Lol.

Being new to tanking, I went with a well-proven set up: Imperial DK. While I don't have the experience to comment on other race/class setups for tank, I can certainly see why the Imperial DK is well-respected. I'm very pleased with that set up and the character has taught me a great deal about tanks.

I've learned to quite enjoy tanking and hope you will also!

The general consensus seems to be Argonian nowadays. My Khajiit tankplar does just fine though. (: If you're not pushing for leader board scores you can make anything work, in which case you should choose whichever you think is most fun.

I would wait a bit more for pts so you can see racial changes. Then ask this question again.

My opinion is Nord or Argonian. Nord will be the tankiest race. But Argonian is the best in terms of resource management. Probably resource management is the bigger deal.

You can tank heal and dps on any race but some do better do to there passives for certain roles. Tanking has some races that work best for sure like.

Orc
Khajitt

They have passives linked to the idea of tanking but for the best races by numbers Imperial is best and Argonian is best if your a beginner other races work to but if you do not understand most mechanics as a tank I would go with ether of the above 2. I myself like certain races for different builds but I most of the time fall into my Roleplay habit and pick a race that fits what I want the character to be not based on numbers or best results.
