@John_Falstaff, and @Ohhgrizyyy, if you can clear vMA, normal trials should be pretty painless with a coordinated team. Meaning stuff like TFS, or VO isn't out of reach. Also, if your goal is trials and vet dungeon clears, then Reliquen is a pretty good pick as well, coming from Cloudreach.

So, really, trial sets probably aren't out of reach right now.

They aren't but I want to get a bit more updated build before I head into vet trials. I'm literally rocking Sunder, Hundings and Mephalas right now which was great before Dragon Bones patch which was after I quit and from what I've seen they've buffed light attacks alot so heavy attack rotations for SDK aren't very great right now and 2 of my sets are based around heavy attacks.

You probably just want to ease back in running normal trials before jumping back into vet. It's true that you don't learn anything on normal (by itself), but it will get you the same drops (just, in blue, instead of purple/gold), and will get you back in practice.

Exactly. I'm in no rush. Saw a video last night after making this post by Xynode who had a different build but it looked fun and actually pulled good numbers. He dropped a monster set completely and ran vMA Axe/Dagger, vMA Bow, 5 Relequen and 5 TFS. Used Flurry for the vMA DW bonus and he pulled 52k in a test

@Ohhgrizyyy , just for reference, Xynode's build (the Infused DK) is great and I plan to try it myself at some point, but the parse in question isn't completely self-buffed, at least external Fracture was provided for 100% uptime (usually, as a DK, you won't be able to get 100% uptime from Noxious alone because it lasts less than full rotation). So it's difficult to compare with self-buffed parses. That said, build looks good, definitely something to try.

I'm currently running VO+Mechanical Acuity+Selenes. I'm hoping to work towards relequen and AY soon but need to get back in habit of playing before I try my hand at the harder content again. Would my setup be ok to attempt Cloudrest or vMA (id really like to get my bow).

You're right, I noticed that. Kinda just hyped its bringing back the old rotations that involved flurry

VO is very good in vMA, its an good set if you get plenty of trash to feed its proc. It suck on dummy or long parses on bosses without adds.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Depends on what you're using it for.
In PvP I could tell you my set but I'll private message you that one since I'm still working out the kinks. The setup gives me nearly 2k Stam regen (with pot it hits around 2.1k) 4.5k weapon damage and 23k health/30k+ physical and spell resist and almost 2k impen.
edit: 23k health only in PvP since you get 5k free.

Viper's and hundings is really good set combo for a stam dk and depending on what monster sets you have I would stick with what you have till you can get better.

I think OP mentioned that it's for PvE.

This is for PvE m8. I have theory crafted a few builds for a Mag Dk that stat wise are pretty nice. I've still yet to get the gear to try them tho
