We need a big DLC for next year. Something crazy like Elsweyr and Skyrim or similair.

The ESO players are excited to see something big in the next year.

I have been playing this game since BETA and I want to see bigger Chapters being released.

    As a chapter for 2019 I personally would like the rest of the Covenant. However I think we are getting Elsweyr.

    For a story/zone dlc, I want to go behind Varen's Wall.

    Western Skyrim, Winterhold and Solstheim are coming sooner or later, in one form or another...

    Personally I'd rather go somewhere different. I'm not opposed to them going back over previously released areas (although I got a bit sick of them milking the nostalgia theme with Morrowind) but especially when it's an area we saw in the last TES game, and where the politics and landscape aren't massively different in spite of the time difference between the games, it's not nearly as exciting to me as something new.

    I really enjoyed Murkmire and Summerset because they both took us to areas of Tamriel we've never seen before (or at least not since Arena, which is so different, especially graphically, it feels all new). Rumour has it we're going to Elsweyr next, which I'd love to see (if they can do the different khajiit breeds properly) but I'd be happy with anywhere else too. One day I hope we get to go to Akavir.

    So, why Skyrim?

    You've told us that we want a big DLC in 2019, but why should that be Skyrim? What makes that "bigger" or more exciting than anywhere else on the map? Other than telling us what we as players want you're not really saying anything here.

    Unless you literally just mean ZOS should release a DLC next year and Skyrim was simply an example of one of the currently empty areas of the map? In which case you'll almost certainly get your wish since they've released at least 1 DLC with a new map area every year since 2014. (2014's release was Craglorn, which technically isn't a DLC but only because that was before they changed the business model.)

    I mean we need a DLC that is bigger than the average DLC and something with good content.

    Would rather not see Skyrim yet. Elsweyr yes, Skyrim no.

    There's been too many recent re-releases of Skyrim for it to hold interest for me in ESO.

    Ditto. I don't have Skyrim nostalgia at all - since I'm still playing it some!

    Why do people hate Skyrim too much? What makes you say 'no' to it? Wouldn't it be just interesting to visit the same place but many many years ago and gain extra lore?

    Not for me. I'm still playing "current" Skyrim. Revisiting an earlier one would confuzzle me all to hellangone. Now, 40 years ago, it might not have. But the older I get, the harder it is to compartmentalize game conundrums. I'm certainly not the oldest player in this game (or Skyrim) - one of my friends is a few months older than I am (we're 71+), and I know a couple of 80 year olds that play Skyrim. Whether they have the same issues I do, or it's specific to me, I don't know.

    Oh, btw, I don't hate Skyrim. Not at all. I love it. I just don't want to get confused between the one I know so well, and an earlier one....

    DLC & Expansion history...

    ( Craglorn - Daggerfall Covenant )
    Imperial City - Empire/Cultist
    Orsinium - Daggerfall Coveant
    Thieves Guild - Daggerfall Covenant
    Dark Brotherhood - Empire/Colovian
    Morrowind - Ebonheart Pact (Expansion)
    Clockwork City - Ebonheart Pact
    Summerset - Aldmeri Dominion (Expansion)
    Murkmire - Ebonheart Pact-ish

    So...

    AD - |
    DC - |||
    EP - |||
    E - ||

    Seems to me the Aldmeri are underrepresented and in need of some DLCs! And since we kinda pretty much covered Summerset and Valenwood... that leaves them going Elsweyr! Bring on the kittycats!
    Other good future DLCs might be imperial regions, non-pact skyrim (there you go!), alik'r regions and the rest of Morrowind and Black Marsh...

    Expansions... I really hope they will keep those for off-tamriel islands, and leave the mainland all DLC territory... there is a lot that can still be done there, from an expedition to the remains of sunken yokuda to the islands in akaviri hands, visiting the maormer or other high seas adventures, and of course a load of daedric planes to stop by and explore...

    I don't hate Skyrim. It's just not as interesting to me as going somewhere new because it was the setting for the last TES game and one I still play every so often. If I want to see Skyrim I can simply switch games, whereas if I want to see most of Elsweyr or southern Hammerfell or that eastern peninsula in Morrowind or any of the other unreleased areas I can't.

    I hope to see western Skyrim added to ESO one day because I'd like to see all of Tamriel (and beyond) make it into the game, but if I have to choose which one to see next it's not going to be my first choice.

    I think it will be Elsweyr. I just would like that to come in 2022, after the rest of the Covenant and a large portion of Skyrim. Just a little bit crazy in the old noggin.

    @reguvin I rather zos focus on fixing the most annoying and broken stuff...last thing I want is my dream Elsweyr been shattered with a half4$$ work due to rushed work cuz the marketing department simply whips the devs like mules...and no im still not ok on how morrowind and summerset isles were created...we are talking about damn huge islands half the size of Cyrodill if not almost the size of cyrodill...shrunk to the size of a DLC...im not that deep into khajiit lore atm but from what I read elsweyr should be half huge jungle and desert...so due to our timeline it should be the same since desertification of the entire area didn't happened in skyrim timeline...so yes I want a damn cyrodill+ sized Elsweyr done right by the book...with lush jungle and huge desert...not a children sandbox with some bushes...shoved off my throat as "true Elsweyr" and yes I hate argonians but I expect the same to be done with Black Marches...for far 2 long TES games have been ignored the beast races and lets be real...we want all that stuff cuz that's why we play games...im rly sick of humans :D if I see them every day...so when I play eso I want to get that immersive feeling that made me loose myself...and yes it happened in the 1st 6 months after launch...then...well if any more elitist/hc players still around they remember...

    Ugh Im still salty that murkmire wasn't a full chapter, but if i had to choose between elsweyr or skyrim Id choose elsweyr. Always thought skyrim was a boring map and i would rather learn more about the khajiits.

    How does the marketing department have any power over devs to whip them? Product managers, sure, they have influence. But marketing?

    If/when Skyrim comes out for ESO, I would wait for the 10 year anniversary of the initial release, so 2021. Solstheim could release as the 4th quarter DLC. I personally want to see Elsweyr , other sections of Hammerfell, and the Colovian Highlands first.

    Gah. Pls not Elsweyr. Can´t see Razum Dar again. This is the most Anti-Elder Scrolls Character i have ever seen. Also we have enough sunshine maps. It´s time for smth darker. If it has to be Elsweyr then as DLC and not as a Chapter pls.

    they need to fix the game before releasing anything new. to hell with dlc and useless junk. 5 years now and still have a *** ton of issues to fix and oly thing in here is lets get more cash grab and bugs.

    can you guys at the advertisement department of bethesda//zenimax or if you're just a player with the hopes of butt licking at bethesda//zos can stop for 2 seconds and look at the dmg that cash grab and cash shop obsession did so far?

    you want more customer? fix your game.
    you want profit? fix your game
    you want new dlcs? fix your game first!

    once you're done fixing the game THEN you will have the time to get new things out.

    It’s definitely either going to be one of them for 2019. I believe it’ll be Elsweyr in 2019 as they can get away with selling some parts of Skyrim as a small DLC like Murkmire before selling a Skyrim expansion with the rest. But in the end of year letter they tease of something big coming for the 5th year of ESO and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a Skyrim expansion.

    Hopefully it’s Elsweyr and we get Skyrim in 2020
