How fast can I get the ice skin

I haven't played in forever and I decided to play on my xbox character for a little bit in PvP and when I died I was bagged by someone with a skin I've been wanting sinve the beginning. So I quickly looked up how to get it, I want it on my main ps4 account. So the question is how fast are these 12 writs you need? Are they easy to craft? Can you get it all done in like 6-8 hours? I never have gold and I think I don't have any crafting materials.
I love ice stuff and of course bought the ice heart style immediately. I'm very lazy so I hope I can get it real quick.

You can probably buy all 12 right now. Took me two days on maybe 5 characters each day to get the 12 writs.

You can buy the new life writs as long as you have the gold. Go to East March around the new life festival, and look for a seller.

The writs are all very easy. Low-grade items, usually only need one of each (sometimes 12 if it's like... rough bed rolls or something).
You can get the writs, New Life Charity Writs, either from doing the dailies in Eastmarch for the New Life Festival, or you can buy all 12 from other players and get it done really quick.
The writs from the dailies are RNG based; I had some days where I got 3 or 4, some days where I got 0 (you can do 9 quests per day, per character).

If you want speed, buy them all from players/guild stores.
If you want cheap, do the quests on as many characters as you can daily.

So in other words, the skin is kinda a nub thing? Like far from the status dromathra or others gives you?

I think about 20-25k each. I expect one can find them costing more as well. I have sold plenty.

They were running 15-20k last night, I think. Kyle was finishing up his skin and buying them.

Doing the New Life dailies, I was getting maybe one writ per 25 dailies done or thereabouts - YMMV, some people had better luck. Since this translates to about one writ per three hours of questing, it's a LOT faster to just shop around for New Life Charity writs at guild traders. Depending on time of day and location, you can find them for between 14k and 20k each - I wouldn't pay more than 18k now though. Actually CRAFTING them only takes a few minutes, and can be done in any zone with a daily crafting writ turn-in location (i.e. not the DLC zones).

Vivec is a DLC zone NOW.

Before that it was a chapter and an alternative starting zone.

At this point you're better off buying the writs. I've seen them posted for as low as 10k.

I would buy them as well if you don't like the quests. My last 30 quests or so didn't give me a single writ. Absymal drop rate.

Unless you want to buy them or have an army of alt-characters at your disposal you'll have to be incredibly lucky to get them at this point.

I've been doing the dailies religiously since the event started and I still don't even have a half dozen charity writs yet (I think I have 5 in total currently). They are very rare.
