We need a bigger difference between stats from Purple to Gold

What people will get is everything below gold getting nerfed. Why, it still gets the job done. ^^

Current system is weird, but it can get worse, so I'm already afraid of asking for changes from ZOS, save for the things that are severely broken. That said, I do think that jewelry is an outlier, and if they don't intend to reduce the cost of gold platings, then a bump to gold jewelry's stats would come handy (in same proportion as gold weapons give, for example).

It's perfectly fine as it is, in my opinion. Golding weapons gives a huge benefit. Armor, a minor one. I already know a lot of people who never bother golding anything. Sadly, I can't convince them to just do weapons. They don't need to be even more behind.

Also, the little benefits of gold add up. A percentage or two can go a long way, especially in PvP.

I'd hate to have to gold everything just to see if it's viable. Only having to get to purple lets you experiment and tweak things a lot before you lock it in. For those of us who don't just copy the latest crap build we saw on YouTube, it's very important.

If there was a noticable difference between purple and gold I'm sure they'd upgrade their gear.
But the thing about keeping it purple to try it out is actually a solid point. I didn't think about that.. you, sir/madam, have changed my mind!
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Imo teamwork and lack of coordination is a bigger threat than power creep. Anyone enjoying this game, just like we all did, will get to max CP, learn their builds/fine tune their playstyle, and get their gear that they need. Even in PvP.

Also, Im not trying to be rude if it sounds that way. I believe Gold Weapons are enough and the system is in a good place.

All RPGs have power creep, and I welcome it. It's the whole point of an RPG - gain skills/levels, get more powerful. There's no such thing as "horizontal progression". When your football team is moving the ball across field continually, do you think "wow, look at that horizontal progression, that's amazing!"?

    No. No you don't.

You generally think "why did I put $20 on these chumps... FUUUUUUU!"

Gold gear should definitely have a little bit more reward over purple.

Not too much but a bit more.

Doesn't have to be an increase to the existing stats, but maybe something like 'perfected' gear from trials and such. or maybe like the racial bonus passive such as % more gold earned or % more ap earned or % more swim speed etc etc...

After all, making gear gold is perfecting it! :)

No , grinding is painful this game , think about the jewellery , how many month is required to gold all 3 parts ?

ZOS dev rarely play the game , they don't design the game play friendly .

grinding is painful in this game!??! SERIOUSLY?!?!?! how old are you? 10?!?!?! this game is easy from char creation to end content. dont ever play a real questing mmo if you consider eso as hard.

ESO is my first mmo. Thank you, and based on your tip I will never play a 'real questing mmo'. ;)

    In the meantime at Zenimax...

ZOS thinking: Yes! We will transmute purple to gold with new currency.
Everyone will buy next DLC. Yes yes yes

My general rule of thumb: Gold out weapons and monster sets.

No, I think its fine as is...the last thing I want to see is more expensive gold mats. People are so focused on gold in this game...as if it actually means something, its needed for very few things.

I'm just guessing here, but i imagine you pull more dps if you use all gold gear then you do in all purple. Tell me if i'm wrong. But i feel that makes golding your gear worth it.

Most people can't consistently parse the same parse after parse, so they really wouldn't notice a difference going to all gold gear.
