@ZOS_GinaBruno, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom When can we expect a Road Ahead article for 2019? I'm curious to see what we can look forward to in 2019.

More systems in the game being monetized honestly. Expect a dungeon pack in February, new Chapter / pay2access system in May, another dungeon pack in August and a zone smaller than Murkmire in November.

    There’s your 2019 roadmap!

Yeah It would be super dope if could have a hint/road ahead before 2019 gets here....

But think the past two years it has been at the beginning of February (don't quote me on that I don't keep an exact track)

Plus the guys at Zos have a schedule, things to plan....plus its the hoildays, pretty sure they have leave from work just like the rest of us.

I would hazard a guess it'll be sometime around Dec. 22nd.

    From Matt himself:
    12.22.2017
    12.22.2016

    Unknown who wrote this:
    12.22.2015

These are just general holiday greetings (probably not a lot to announce, and I believe the "road ahead" type stuff was monthly or quarterly originally):
    12.24.2014
    12.24.2013
    12.20.2012

I miss the days when Paul Sage and Matt would release little videos and do interviews and such with samples of the stuff they were proud to announce.
"The Road Ahead" news/release has changed a lot since 2013... :(

There will be two important anniversaries next year, in April it will be 5 years since ESO launched on PC/Mac while March will be the 25th anniversary of Arena, the first Elder Scrolls game.

I was surprised that Summerset released in 2018 rather than next year for the 25th anniversary of Arena but maybe something bigger is planned to mark these occasions.

I look forward to reading what Matt and the team has planned for The Road Ahead 2019 edition.

So far, all we've seen on 2019's game plan was in this recent post that pretty much said "info coming soon":
    Creative Director's Letter: That's a Wrap on 2018!
2019 is almost upon us, and it’s going to be a huge year for The Elder Scrolls Online. I can’t say too much just yet, and it is incredibly difficult to have to hold back details, but ESO will be 5 years old next year - a huge milestone for us and the community! As such, next year’s story and adventure will be something truly special for all Elder Scrolls Online players. We are so excited to be able to share it with you soon, and we can’t wait to see how you all put all the pieces together starting early next year.

With the key points in bold. They're planning on it being something big, something truly special. Its certainly a huge stretch, but what if there's also a deliberate hint there? If meant as a literal clue, being able to put all the pieces together sounds an awful lot like the current glyph enchanting system in which you have to put the pieces together to make the glyph you want. That's also an awful lot like how they described their Spellcrafting system which they mentioned back in 2016 at QuakeCon, but then shelved. Like glyph enchanting, spellcrafting entails collecting the various pieces and putting them together to make the custom spell of your choosing.

Here's a clip of that old Spellcrafting preview which goes into amazing detail:
    2014 QuakeCon Spellcrafting Preview
Soon after, much changed with that game designer leaving the company and the project getting shelved.

The last few years each brought a huge new mechanic to the game:
    • 2017 brought us Vvardenfell with the Warden Class.
    • 2018 brought us Summerset with Jewelrycrafting. The ability to craft rings and amulets was one of the most requested features since the game came out, right next to spellcrafting.
    • 2019 - Not sure where it will take place, although there are many theories elsewhere on the forums right now. I'm feeling like they're going to want to bring us an even bigger mechanic for their 5-year anniversary and you can't get bigger than Spellcrafting.

Spellcrafting and Jewelrycrafting were both mechanics constantly asked for by the player base since the game first came out. They were asked for so much and for so long, others started saying we'd never see them in game. Well, they finally gave us Jewelrycrafting this past year, so we very well may be seeing Spellcrafting some time soon as well.

I am hoping spellcrafting is introduced sooner than later. I imagine spellcrafting will be the greatest way to balance the classes. Also it will be a great way to put into practice ESO’s biggest advertisment when it was first launched. That being that you can build your character anyway you want. Now days if you want to do dps you either have to be a magika based destro staff build or a stambased dual wield build. And healing is the same cookie cutter across the board with a few minor differences. Tanks; the same thing, soars and board both bars or for a little more versatility back bar is a two hand. And gank builds are always dual wield and bow. Its all the same stuff, and relatively all the same abilities

What we can expect in 2019:

    1. Nerfs to skills performing well.
    2. Nerfs to skill not performing well.
    3. Gameplay changes counterproductive to what has been stated as the “vision” for combat.
    4. Crown store mount reskins.

It’s the 5 year anniversary of the game next year. So they would of saved something for that, Also zos are trickyies peoples (said in the voice of golum) they love dropping subtle hints right in plain sight. So agree spellcrafting is a strong contender. :)

Also hints of Skyrim were around in summerset when you spoke to some of the NPC’s

Every time I log on the NA server is packed, yeah PVP as far as the campaign is dead, but it was idiotic tp try and force ESO to be DAoC 2.0 in the first place.

Of course I play on the PC, where IMHO ESO should have stayed.
