In your opinion, what should ZoS' number 1 priority be with ESO right now?

ZOS number 1 priority at the moment should be to forget ESO and enjoy their Christmas and New Year holidays :)

No you get a break when you deserve one, thats how work is, the world doesnt stop because its christmas. The truth of the matter is we wouldnt know if they were off anyway, because it would be just like it is now, no communication, at all, ever.

I would happily forgo a DLC to have long term bugs fixed, cyrodiil performance & game performance overall.

Communication at best is shoddy, it really needs to improve, completely ignoring the people who put money in your pockets is not a good move, i'm selfemployed and if i ignored my clients, i would be broke, why should ZoS play by different rules.

But saying all that, i do wish everyone at ZoS & the whole player base, a very merry Christmas & prosperous (productive in ZoS's case) New Year.

    Peace.

    1. Stop F2P game design, where multiple layers of grind to acquire motifs incentivize people to stop the pain and simply head to the Cash Shop to buy it..with an egregious price point.

(oh wait that isn't the #1 priority)

    1. Communication is at an all-time low. It takes a dumpster fire on the forums and Gina's Twitter account hacking to make them listen. Fix that.

(I'm not sure if that is #1 either. hmm)

    1. Listen to your PTS contributors. They are a special breed who approach it as a labor of love. Bug reports are valuable, but so to is the feedback on proposed changes. Listen to them. They feel ignored, and less and less are participating because they feel their efforts are wasted.

(that one is good, but not number #1)

    1. Cash Shop-centric game design has taken over ESO. It was gradual, and it just gets worse. You can whale all you like, but look what happened to TRION with their whaling focus: people moved on to other games. It smacks of desperation.

Yes, that was my real #1.

This is a prime opportunity to continue building on the amazing Elder Scrolls universe, and they are putting all their eggs into the Cash Shop monetization basket. Content is getting thinner. QoL has taken the backburner. Game design and "balance" are taking a nose dive. But hey, look at those Apex mounts! And the Gem-only exclusives!

You guys are F'ing it up. Stop.

It is a rare mind indeed that can render the hitherto non-existent blindingly obvious. The cry 'I could have thought of that' is a very popular and misleading one, for the fact is that they didn't, and a very significant and revealing fact it is too. - Douglas Adams

In my mind: their priority currently should be improving the questing/exploration aspect of the game. The writing is good and the environments are very well done. But the enemies pose very little threat to high level characters any longer. So much so to the point it's bordering on dull and this makes the world of Tamriel feel less like a treacherous wilderness and more like a artificial landscape you're just trying to navigate through as quickly as possible.

If the game doesn't fix this - sooner or later another game is going to come around and peel away these players who prefer a more interesting challenge.

Cyrodil performance is important too. I just rank that lower due to the fact I believe PvP on this game is a hopeless mess and would require a complete redesign from the floor up for me to ever take seriously.

Sorting people by native langage in the megaserver phasing system.

    - Waiting for this feature for 4 YEARS and a half, yeah.
    - Mainly a european megaserver matter, I know, but it seems like you've got japanese speakers in America also...

    Better DLCs.
DLC good as Orsinium with 1-2 normal sized trials would satisfy me and many other players

Sick of chapters with limited terrains and off limited areas, small DLCs and small trials.

Buffing classes up to speed opposed to simply nerfing them.

This is why I tend to prefer how ArenaNet balances the game over at GW2, because they rarely nerf things and often buff old/useless things. Those who run Monster Hunter also buff the enemies instead of nerfing the players.

Ah, and seperate PvE/PvP balance. It really isn't as hard as they claim it is considering some skills are already separated between the two veils...And no, I don't hate PvP, since those who primarily PvP seem to think people who ask for this hate PvP. I don't want PvP ruined by PvE balancing and I don't want PvE ruined by PvP balancing.

Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

Do something about the lag. It has become ridiculous. The game lags when starting up. How is that even possible? Gets hung up on the Zenimax online screen EVERYTIME. Started with this latest update I believe. It lags when you use wayshrines. For about 10-20 seconds at that. Just trying to move is an effort. This is not fun.

We need an entire Quarterly update that focuses purely on quality of life and the maintenance of old problems. No new content, just the revamping of all current content.

This is not limited, but does include the following:
    -Fixing cyro lag
-Adding proper guild merchant options for console
-Taking many of those features added by add-ons, and making them game features instead
    -Fixing Cold/Warden for viable DPS
-Stopping the Pages of Chapters of Motifs, in favour of the original system - rarer, but complete motifs
    -Fixing Dungeon Finder
-Finally stopping out the Chinese bot/got sellers
-Separating PVE and PVP balance (LOL like that'll ever happen)
-Making surveys just show up as quest markers

If we were gonna go the route of new content, what I would like to see is:
All zones in the game have 2 instances:
    -Pure PVE (Cyrodiil included)
-And then PVPVE - for the PVP players, it expands their stomping grounds, and adds entirely new PVP possiblities, also allows a fair tradeoff (if PVE can get Cyro skyshards without PVP, then so too should PVP players have the option to get the rest without being forced into PVE)

*I just don't believe they will improve or fix anything escpecially if they can make money from cosmetics things :P so why not make another mount? and for that mount I could (and not just me) pay a lot of crowns xD

I left the game a few months after Summerset came out, because lag in cyrodil is unplayable on Xbox, and at the end of the day I want my mmorpg to have a good PVP experience....otherwise I might as well play a better single player RPG (right now I'm playing RDR2 and modded Skyrim).

I like to check into forums every now and then like right now, because I really do like the game, but the lagginess and overall broken-ness nature of the game on my xbox frustrates me too much.

so my suggestions for #1 priority: make the game less laggy in cyrodil and less buggy overall.

Their highest priority is probably finding the most efficient way to get our money, so they can sustain their other projects that are in the work. Until then, ESO must hold up. But after they have their new stuff up and running, we are no longer needed.

I don't want to be so negative. It's only because I love this game/franchise and hate to see it being neglected like this.
It somehow feels so wrong these days, I am under the impression ESO is getting less and less attention from the team.

I want them to look at the whole Raimi suit Spider-Man fiasco that Insomniac went through, and take solace that the people who think that "constant harassment equals results" are at best ignorant to the details and at worst just *** people.

Then keep prioritizing internally, because ultimately the game succeeds or fails based on teamwork and progress, not a few obnoxious fans chasing an impossible perfection.

And with that, see you in 2099.
